[Zeke]

Through the darkness, a small light began to show and before he knew it, Zeke was awake, pain shooting through every inch of his body. He roared in agony as the pain persisted and he couldn't get away. He opened his eyes, pupils dialated, and frantically looked around. He didn't know where he was. Zeke tried to struggle to his feet, but could not for he had not the strength to lift his torn body and collapsed back onto the hard cave floor. He lay, panting hard and trying to ignore the pain.

Amanda purred. "Thanks Kivuli." she said smiling. That had been close. He had just been about to leave, all because of the aggressive behavior of Semira and the other lionesses. Amanda made a mental note to talk to her mother in the morning about being more trustful of others.
She felt soft fur brush against her back. Amanda knew who it was before she had even turned around. "Hi Amanda." said Fura cheerfully from behind her. She tried to jump playfully on top of her head but Amanda held up a paw to silence her. "Shh!" she whispered fiercely.
Zeke was slowly coming to. Both cubs and Kivuli watched silently as the injured lion on the ground in front of them groaned and opened his eyes. Fura let out a small squeak and Amanda's paw quickly shot up to her mouth to silence her. Now was not the time for Zeke to deal with a couple of annoying cubs.
He tried getting up, but collapsed on the ground in exhaustion, panting. Amanda immediately felt great pity for him. She really didn't like seeing anyone hurt. She wanted to go over and comfort him but was afraid he might swipe a paw at her and kill her. So she just stood there silently with the other two, watching and waiting.

Semira glared at Simba angrily. "Your Majesty, how can we be so sure this rogue means us no harm? What if he's just trying to gain our trust, only to betray us later on when we are powerless to stop him?" Semira knew before Simba had replied that she had already lost this arguement. The only reason she didn't trust outsiders was because of her past experiences, not because she suspected Kivuli of treason. Still, she held her head high and waited for a response from her leader.

[KingKivuli]

Simba glared Semira 'How can you think that after all he has done? Besides hes one lin. He maybe strong but he can not take a whole pride. Especially in his condition' Simba was now looking even harsher at her. She turned away and stared at the ground 'He would not betray us. Learn to puit your gaurd down. If not for my sake then for your daughters'

Kivuli heard the terrible crirs of his comrade and jump to him 'Zeke you ok? talk to me. Your ok your safe ill look after you' Kivuli continued to ease Zekes pain the best he could

[Zeke]

Zeke's vision was slightly impaired from his wounds but he could see the outline of his friend's grey body. "Kivuli..." He said, trying to lift his head, but letting it fall limply to the stone. "Where are we? What..." Zeke winced in pain, snarling and cringing until the sharp pain began to subside. The pain began to get less and less as he began to get used to it. "What happened?"

Amanda watched in open-mouthed amazement as Zeke struggled to keep from fainting again. She couldn't help but admire this young lion's perseverance. His wounds were obviously paining him yet he still managed to not cry out as she probably would have.
Fura crouched behind Amanda as though she were afraid he might lunge at her. Amanda put herself in front of the younger cub, just in case. She knew fully well what he was capable of. Zeke was speaking to Kivuli now, so she thought it best not to interrupt.

Semira opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. She realized she didn't have any. Simba was right after all, she really did need to let her guard down. Shutting her mouth again, Semira snorted at him. "Very well Your Majesty." she said reluctantly, "I will try to put more faith in him. May I go now?"

Kivuli reassured his friend 'Your safe in Priderock. You were in a fight when the liness intervined. Yo got badly hurt. You need rest, dont worry your among friends, me and Amanda are here' Kivuli looked at Zekes body it was in a bad way but res woul heal his wounds

'Yes you may' Simba said. Semira bowed then began to walk 'Semira' Simba said as he walked. Her faced turned to face his 'Hes a good lion, trust him and he will be more than just a stranger to you' Semira sighed, then nodded before alking off

It was getting late, and as soon as she got inside, Semira decided it was time for Amanda to go to bed. It didn't take very long to find her since she was where she had expected her to be - with Kivuli and Zeke.
Semira stood a few feet away, watching. When Amanda caught sight of her, she gestured for her to come over. "Bedtime, Amanda." she said when the cub arrived. "You better come too. It's getting late" she told Fura, who bounded up to them both. Amanda waved a quick good-bye to Kivuli before catching up with the others.

Kivuli waved his paw over at Amanda. He then turn round and took nother lok at Zeke before lying in front of him to protect him

Simba was now wandering where Nala had got to. He Knew she had gone for a walk round the Pridelands but he was now getting conncerned. As Simba wandered into the cave a familar voice came up behid him 'Hey Simba' it was Nala. She had just returned and looked tired. She walk over to the king and nuzzled him lovingly 'How are you?' she asked 'Better now your home' He nuzzled back 'Where have you been all day ive been worried'

Nala proceeded to jump and pin Simba 'You dont think i can look after myself? I have just been for a long walk dont worry' She let him up and began to walk inside. He followed. As they walked in Nala saw the srange lions at the back. When te king and queen got to the raised sleeping area and lay down Nala asked 'Whats been going on here? Whys everyone beaten? And who are those two?' Simba sighed and snuggled with his mate 'Its a long story' Simba just lay next to Nala and told the days story

[Zeke]

By now, Zeke did not even consider trying to get up again in the condition he was in. He only looked up at his friend with a broken spirit, for he was no longer free. "Kivuli," He said, "Kivuli, why didn't they just kill me?" Anywhere else, death would have surely been his fate, yet they decided to spare him. They had numbers and strength on their side and they still didn't deliver the finishing blow.

Amanda went over to her favorite sleeping area: a small dug-in section in the cave wall that was just big enough for a small cub to squeeze into. It was cozy and warm, even though now she was starting to get too big for it.
She'd been using it since her early infancy but would likely soon have to pass it on to some other cub, perhaps Fura. She got in and curled up into a small furry mound. From here she could clearly see the entrance of the cave and also had a good view of the place where Zeke was resting. Amanda lifted her head slightly to look around at the other lions.
Most of them were busy getting ready to go to sleep. Simba and Nala were already lying down in their usual spot and even Semira was padding over to her sleeping place at the foot of some rocks. Amanda saw Fura trying to wriggle free of her mother's grasp.
"But I wanna go splash in the puddles with Amanda!" she cried indignantly. Binti shook her head firmly. "No Fura. It's very late. Amanda's really sleepy. Perhaps in the morning." Fura made an exaggerated groan as her mother picked her up and carried her over to the middle of the cave. She let out a huge yawn and snuggled up next to Binti.
Amanda rested her head lightly on her paws and closed her drooping eyelids. It was very, very late and she'd had a very tiring and eventful day. All she wanted to do right now was to go to sleep and not have to worry anymore. She opened her eyes one last time to glance over at Zeke and Kivuli. She didn't understand why Semira didn't trust either of them. Kivuli was a gentle, honest lion, and even Zeke must have some softer side beneath all that roughness if he and Kivuli were such great friends. Amanda reminded herself yet again that she needed to talk to her mother in the morning.
It was still raining heavily outside, but that didn't bother Amanda in the slightest. She was so tired she was willing to sleep through an earthquake if she had to. So with one final yawn, Amanda closed her eyes. She was asleep in an instant.
