SP was not entirely animated in Australia. Some animators were in Australia but others were not. For exemple, with Beauty and the Beast. If you notice, Belle looks a bit inconsistent. (http://images2.fanpop.com/image/user_images/1162000/dweeb-1162591_2128_2496.jpg) That happened mostly because James Baxter's (Belle's main animator) team was working in two different places, due to the lack of time (Beauty and the Beast was completed in only two years).
I don't know much about SP's production, but since the movie was animated in two different countries (EUA and Australia), it can be a valid point when talking about the animation quality. But yeah, I'm not sure about that...
Either way, the animation in most of the sequels is very poor.

I guess they write the plot the way they want and then change the old characters and original events to fit the new story.

Actually, this theory hasn't been proven yet. There is no real evidence that Zira was Scar's mate. As I said in my newer topic, I believe she just had an obsession over him.

I think Pocahontas II is the WORST Disney sequel I have ever seen.. The Little Mermaid II is quite awful too, as well as Hunchback II.

The only Disney sequels (of the ones I have watched) that I consider good are Simba`s Pride and Mulan II.

Yeah, I know that. I don't think they were mates either, what I meant was she just randomly popped up claiming to be Scar's mate. In one of the deleted scenes she does say she was Scars 'Loving devoted queen' or something along those lines.

I think the reason this scene was deleted, is that Zira claims to be Scars mate. This would mean that Kovu is Scars son (which he in fact was, in the early production of SP). This was changed later, to prevent Kiara and Kovu from being related. Ergo: Zira couldn`t be Scars mate because they couldn`t have any cubs together.

Yeah, i know xD But I don't know why they changed it so that Kovu wasn't related, well I know because it's incest, but considering chances are Nala and Simba are either siblings or both their parents were siblings and there was only Mufasa and Scar in the movie in the end it's all incest because the King can mate with anyone in the pride and any cubs that were there before his rein are killed ....

Very true. The issue of Nalas parents was not explored very thoroughly in TLK, though, we barely know who her mother is. So it was easier for Disney to cover up that Simba and Nala would be related.. In SP, the situation was completly different. Kovu couldn`t be related to Scar because Scar was related to Simba. Everyone is aware of Simba and Scars family bond, but I don`t think many people who watch TLK wonder much about whos Nalas father is.

TLM II is awful enough but Pocahontas II and Hunchback II... I've seen most of Disney sequels and in my opinion Pocahontas II and Hunchback II are tied as the worst Disney sequel. What were they thinking?
