[Zeke]

Zeke jumped when the cub popped out from her hiding space for he was still on edge. He took on a fighting stance, but soon eased up seeing that it was only a young cub. Scooting back up into his upright position, he could tell by the look on Kivuli's face that he felt a sort of affection for the cub. Inside, he himself wished for this kind of connection with another, yet he didn't show it. The look on his face remained unchanged; a cold, hardened expression that displayed not a stitch of sympathy. He knew that the cub was lying, yet he said nothing of it.

Kivuli just looked at Amanda and smiled 'You best run along before i have to run and save you again' He said 'Ill come and play with you later'

Simba took notice of Kivuli and his words 'Kivuli is right Amanda, best you go inside. I promise not to be too long'

Amanda got up slowly and brushed the dirt off her. "Oh, okay." she said a little disappointed, trying not to meet any of their eyes. "See ya later then." She knew that they knew that she had lied to them. Inside, she was mad at herself for not being able to hold on to the rock more firmly. But she said nothing. Amanda walked back to the cave stiffly with her head hanging low, feeling the gazes of the lions following her. It felt creepy. She knew Zeke was still staring after her long after she'd reached the inside of the cave. She hated and feared him the most. There was something about him that made her feel he didn't trust any of them. But before Amanda could dwell on this any further, she was almost flattened by a small ball of fur that landed right on top of her. Large green eyes were directly in front of her face. "Hey Amanda, where've you been?" asked Fura.

Simba then turned his attention back to Zeke not forgeting the insults he had made 'As for you, dont you ever insult my pride again' Simba was not happy, he even had his claws out ready

Kivuli saw what was happening and imediatly stepped in trying to diffuse the situation 'Calm down you two this will get us no where' Simba and Zeke were exchannging mencing glares

Simba spoke harshly 'Kivuli this is my pride and no rouge looking like a pride reject will insult it'

[Zeke]

That was the final straw. Zeke dug his claws into the dirt and with all the strength in his body, he lunged himself foreward from a dead stop, onto Simba, knocking him to the ground. Struggling with the red-maned lion, Zeke rolled on the ground, scratching and biting with his opponent. He had the upper hand, being of a slightly larger size than Simba and the fight was starting to sway in his favor.

Simba was taken by suprise and took the first few blows badly. He managed to get up and fight back. Zekes larger size was a little imtimidating. The fact that Zeke could also fight was not helping, it was not going to be easy. Simba swung for Zeke and Knocked him down. Simba pounced and began unleashing a fury of swipes, Zeke managed to match him blow for blow. Seeing a chance Zeke knocked simba off. They both stood face to face before charging and fighting all over again

Kivuli could only watch from the side lines. His legs was still bad and even if he was fine he could not stop this battle

Zeke was knocked off and his legs loaded back like springs. He let loose, combining his speed and stength into one mighty leap, hitting Simba square in the shoulders and pinning him to the gound. From there, he bit and scratched at Simba but he could feel his body weakening for some reason. A searing pain burned through his skull, yet he persisted in fighting against Simba. He knew he had to win this or it may be his last day as a free lion, or even a lion at all.

"Oh, it's kind of a long story." said Amanda, shaking her friend off. But still Fura persisted. "Who's that big grey lion with all the scratches? And how come you weren't here by noon like your mom asked? Where were you all day?"
Amanda suddenly felt very tired. "Fura it's been a long day and I just-" suddenly her ears perked up. Something was going on outside. Fura heard it too. "Woah, what's that? Sounds like a fight! Cool!" Before Amanda could stop her, Fura had already run outside. "Fura! WAIT!" Amanda shouted, but Fura didn't listen. Amanda was scared. If this was really a fight, someone was bound to get hurt or even killed. Three strong lions like Simba, Kivuli, and Zeke could definitely seriously maim each other. Amanda felt guilty; she'd been wishing for a fight, but she hadn't really meant for it to come true. She'd just wanted to see who was stronger.
She ran outside at the same time that Fura did. Amanda instantly saw her friend's body go rigid in shock and heard her gasp with fright. Amanda looked up and did the same. Simba and Zeke were clawing furiously at each other, eyes red with rage, while Kivuli was standing nearby, shocked, but unable to do anything. Amanda watched, mesmerized at first. It was like watching two equally-matched opponents battling each other to the end. First it looked like Zeke was winning, then Simba, then back to Zeke... Amanda could sense Zeke growing weak from all this fighting. She may have not liked the lion, but she didn't want him dead.
Amanda heard Fura wailing beside her. Obvously she hadn't expected a fight to be this bloody and scary. Neither had Amanda, but at least she finally snapped out of her trance. She had to go get help before somebody got killed. Amanda took a deep breath and shouted as loud as she could, "HEEEEEEELP!"

Kivuli saw the cubs and ran to protect them straight away 'Stay back both of you, i cant have you hurt' The brutal fight was taken place and getting deadly. Both lions were at each others throats. However Kivuli wasnt the only one to hear the cry. Semira and the other heard it and came dashing out. Without hesitation hey atacked Zeke wit bites and claws. It didnt take long for the younf lion to fall to all the attacks. Simba walked over to the beaten Zeke 'Be thankful i will spare your life, but i have no rtust for you i can not let you leave' SIba looked at Semira 'Take him prisoner and watch him closly' Semira obeyed. THe lioness dragged the body into hye back of the cave as Simba wacthed on

Kivuli turned his attention back on the cubs 'Amanda, are you two ok? Im sorry you saw that'

Before Amanda could reply, Fura burst into tears. She tore past the two of them and ran behind the rock Amanda had hidden herself behind just a few moments earlier. Both Amanda and Kivuli could hear her sobs coming from deep within. Amanda, being slightly older, was able to control her tears. She looked up with sad eyes at Kivuli, still very shaken by the terrible fight that had just taken place. "I'm fine Kivuli. I think I need to go talk to Fura."
Amanda walked over to the rock and peered into the darkness where she knew Fura was. "Fura?" she asked a little cautiously. Immediately the crying stopped. Fura lifted her head from her paws to face Amanda, but it was her eyes that stood out the most. They were bright green and large, and brimming with tears. Amanda felt a rush of sympathy for her friend. Fura was crying because she was scared by what she had just seen, not because she was hurt or sad. She was only four and a half months old and had never seen so much blood and hate in her life. Amanda crept in and sat next her friend. Fura let go of the rock and hugged her, digging her face into her arm. "I'm sorry Amanda." she said, shakily, making Amanda's heart break. "I was just so scared. I didn't know lions could hurt so bad."
Amanda patted her head. "It's alright Fura. They didn't really mean it. They've made up now."
Fura's face brightened and she looked up. "Really?"
Amanda got up. "Yeah, sure. But they don't want to be disturbed right now. Don't talk to them okay? Come on, let's go eat dinner."
Amanda walked out of the cave with Fura bouncing along beside her. Her heart lifted. Sometimes Fura was like a little sister to her. She loved how energetic and playful and innocent she could be sometimes, never having to worry about anything all day except for the occasional scolding from her mother or of falling down and bruising her paw. Just yesterday, Amanda's life had been as carefree as this young cub's, and now, in the space of a single evening, everything had changed. Destiny had brought Kivuli and Zeke to them, not mere coincidence. Amanda slowly began to realize that her life was about to change drastically, and nothing would ever be the same again.
