Wafu's paw naturally twitched when Chanya lay hers on his. He looked down at their paws and as he watched then he remembered Chany'a little 'problem' that she had told him about, the fact that no matter what she couldn't bring out her claws. But thinking of that reminded him of his own problem, no matter how hard he tried he couldn't bring his back in, this made for problems when playing tag as a cub and only made the teasing worse. When she spoke again to raised his head to look at her but what happened next he really didn't expect, as Chayna spoke she put her head under his chin causing Wafu to go wide eyed. He began to relax a little, loosening his grip on the dirt. By now after doing this Chanya had Wafu's mind clouded, all he could think about was her and what she told him, he began talking her 'suggestions' more as commands so now he felt the need to exact revenge was essential. He looked down at her when she was done speaking, thinking about what she said and what he should do.
"Well the original plan was to try and gain their trust, then take them out" he said to her and then smirked.
"Do you have any ideas darling? You've always been as smart as you are beautiful" he told her truly into the idea that she really loved him.

[[WF, Zera's not orange-- that's just another lioness in my picture. In Zera's profile, it shows what she looks like which is a mix of browns and some distinct markings :P ]]

That was a tricky question to answer. Zera wasn't even sure if she was going to be staying the night, none the less staying with the group at all. And who was she to tell this male if he could stay or not? After all, it wasn't her den and nor was it her right to impose on taking over Suis' right of saying whether this lion was allowed or not. Still though, she thought that Sius would say 'yes' no matter what, as long as someone in the pride approved of him. She knew nothing of him though, and so she kept her instincts on red alert. Searching his eyes and staring him down with a dominant, yet politely quiet gaze was going to signal that she wasn't one to be messed with and if the time came for it, that she would rip him to shreds-- even if it meant breaking out of her lazy state. When she was finished chatting it up with his eyes, she blew out of her nostrils and walked forward to where Sius and Syira were positioned. "Come with me if you'd like to stay with us" she turned her head, "I'm Zera by the way". She walked to the scene with Kasi and Sius, trying to get his attention with a vocalized rumble in her throat. "This male wants to stay here, if that's okay with you." She figured she must have looked pretty foolish asking Sius what was allowed after she stated that she was the leader, but she didn't care what others thought of her in the first place so the image of herself in anothers' eyes erased and she was back to being her normal self. Zera's celestial hues looked to Syira and she motioned her head subtly for the more familiar lioness to come with her and away from the scene with the males. She was sure that Syira was about ready to walk away anyways, but they would stick close in case there was need for any kind of back up.

Chanya could almost hear the gears in her head turning, while she imagined more ways to twist Wafu around her lack-there-of claws. "Your plan could work but it would need a few things thrown in..." she spoke as though she was leading this huge heist over these foolish lions and lionesses. The dark lioness turned her head to see the group was practically gathered all together, and she eyed every one of the males. The injured one resembled somewhat of a leader, the one linked at the tail with another lioness was a braver looking one, and then there were the two new males-- one too young to barely have a mane and the other talking with the flashy lioness who acted like she owned the place. What a selection...what a selection. "Which would be the easiest to manipulate?" She was assuming to herself that it would have been the male with a lioness at his side already but there was something about that male Sius that she was getting strong feelings from about him being the easiest to control once she could gain his trust-- and affection. "I know where to start." Chanya smirked secretively to the side of her mouth away from the sight of her 'love' and eyed the male lion. Now it was only time to play it up some more with Wafu. The fool, he won't even know what's going on by the time I'm done and finished with him, thought the lioness. She turned on the charm with her eyes as she nuzzled his nose and licked lightly along his cheek, "whatever happens with these other males is purely for revenge, my love. My hearts belongs to you, and only you until the day I die". He had a corny way with words that signaled he had barely taken any time to fall head over heels for her charm and talent of the lie. "All we have to do now is just get ourselves in the middle of their little circle and I can track down who is the weakest and break them all in no time. Males like these are never as strong as you could be" she flirted without stop, as the tricks of the trade just kept on coming at her.

Wafu's mind was nowhere near as sharp as it usually was and it was all because of Chayna, he could almost be like a puppet for her right now and not even he himself realized this. He looked in the direction of the group with a knowing smile, he had hardly interacted with any of them and infact had never really tried to find out their names but by the display they gave him he had a vague outline of their personality.
"The injured one, he's as soft as mud"Wafu said smirking with evil intentions.
"And it seems he's the leader, if we can get on his good side we're in and then I'll show them who the looser is" he spoke with words laden with hate and years of pent up anger.
"But it's up to you, your wish is my command my love" he said to Chanya, although he would have usually shown her a sweet smile due to his current mood it just came out as a sadistically happy smirk. Oh yes, she has awoken his darker side.

Sius grinned at Taro and Eeve. They were good lions to help out Sius in his time of need. He had chosen right in picking them as friends. "Thank you Taro, Eeve. I greatly appreciate your help." Sius walked slowly toward the exit of his den. The rain was pouring now. Thunder sounded upon the horizon and several flashes of lightning scarred the land yonder. Wind started to pick up as the trees struggled to hold onto their roots. What a night it was shaping up to be. Yet, with all of this badness forecast upon the Pride Lands, Sius continued to smile. Well, they weren't getting anywhere just standing there. Kasi was in trouble... and Sius was the only one who could save him. However... he could use all the help he could get.

Sius looked back. Taro and Eeve were coming. Ushujaa had to come. How else would Sius find where Kasi ended up? He hoped that Zera and Syira would come. Wait? Who was this lion standing next to Zera? Zera asked if it was alright with him for this newcomer to stay here. Sius thought for a moment and said "Well... will he be alone here? Ushujaa, Taro, Eeve and I are heading out to help my brother. I don't know about Syira... but I was hoping that we could all go." He looked at the new lion with a confused look. This new lion... he didn't seem to have any evil intentions... what could be the harm? "I suppose if he wants to stay here where it's safe... But I'm heading out immediately. The choice is yours whether you want to come or not." Sius walked into the pouring rain and started treading ahead to one of the trees surrounding his den.

Then he stopped and waited for the others to come with him. He couldn't go anywhere until Ushujaa was ready to go. Suddenly, something caught his eye over the horizon. It was that other lion with Mufalfa from earlier... Wafu? That's it. And who was that lioness with him? I don't have time to deal with this right now. Sius thought with a heavy sigh. He started walking toward the two. What was he going to say? He couldn't just tell them to get away from his den. Could he? Well he could try to be polite. Wafu had seemed like a pleasant lion from before, and Sius didn't have any reason to dislike him. Finally, he got up to talking distance. He couldn't just stand there. Sius was the dominant male of the situation and he had to assert his dominance over these two trespassers. "Hey, Wafu. I don't have a problem with letting you live." That sounded like a good start... though perhaps a bit too rough? "However, you need to leave now. Something unexpected has come up and I'm not in the mood to deal with you two harshly." Seriously, why was this coming out of Sius' mouth? Perhaps Kasi being in mortal danger had put even more stress on Sius' already injured body. "But I will if I must." Sius backed away to a distance. He didn't ready himself for an attack... or so it seemed? His secret hunting technique could prove to be a useful fighting tactic if used right. He would wait for them to respond or make the first move.

Dakari slowly followed the lioness, who's name turned out to be Zera, and slowly walked into the cave. There were a few more lions and lionesses inside, like most of the prides he came across were. He was quite shocked when Sius said that he could stay, and you could easily tell that he didn't see this coming. Finally, after so much traveling there was a pride which allowed him to stay with them. It was too good to be true in his point of view, but he answered the typical reply, "Thank you." When the lion mentioned something about him and a few more going to help his brother, Dakari immediately felt like lending a paw, "I can help." he said, and joined the small group

{Aw, I love you, too, Dearest. *Hugs* ^^}

Syira listened intently as she heard Ushujaa’s story, and Sius’ reaction to this. It was official: they had a pride {However small it was}, and its leader was Sius. He had all the characteristics found in a fair leader: honesty, kindness, leadership, and most of all, authority. With a beautiful smile written upon her face, she slowly padded towards Sius’ side and gave him a small nudge. “I’ll be with you,” she whispered. At that moment, her once slightly unappealing features disappeared and showed it into a beautiful angel; her delicate sapphire eyes gleamed and her smile was engraved as though it were a holy verse. Yet another entrance abruptly interrupted the angelic moment by an unknown lion. This lion, however, was female and her looks were quite beautiful, although she had Outlander features. A quick memory raced through her head for a moment of her, but they were fuzzy and hard to interpret. Syira merely shrugged this off; she would remember soon enough. The lioness seemed a very lovey-dovey and one who was concerned of her looks. Syira was immensely surprised that Wafu had known this lioness, namely Chayna, and even more surprised when she invited to talk with him privately. This made Syira’s curiosity switch turn on immediately and she had the sudden urge to follow them to spy.

The lioness never wished to pry on anything, but it would be best to know this lioness’ intentions. Especially if she intended on harming Wafu. Carefully gliding through the thick grasses with the oncoming rain beating on her damp pelt, Syira followed them a ways until they stopped near a clearing. She listened to the conversation for a while before she got bored; soppy things almost made her sick, and she was about to leave when she heard the story of Wafu’s torture. Syira held back her retreat and listened harder; a look of sadness grew to her. It reminded her too much of her own dreadful childhood. Alarm struck across Syira’s face suddenly; they wanted to hurt her companions? Revenge? Hate? This had gone a little too far for her liking and she hurriedly ran to the den, an almost frightened expression written on her face. This did not last long, however, until importance showed. Drawing Sius away from the others, she whispered in his ear, “Sius, may I speak to you for a moment?” Without waiting for a reply, Syira walked a little ways into the cave beyond hearing range of the others. “Sius,” she whispered urgently, “we may have killers on our paws. Cheyna and Wafu are…” before the lioness could finish her urgent message, faintness grew unto her body. Her paining side was now hurting so bad she could not stand it longer. Syira fainted from the pain in utter agony. The message never got through; the question is now if she will wake early enough to tell of the dangers of Chayna and Wafu…and to save Kasi.

The dreams, which ran through Syira’s mind, were intense and confusing. It showed her in the middle of a circle with the Great Kings of the Past surrounding her. She gazed with a confused expression on her face until the Great Kings told her clues about Chayna and her real nature. Her brains racked with choices of who she really was, why she knew her, and what her intentions were. Syira’s eyes shut with force and laid her face on the ground; paws over head. The Great Kings were almost shouting, now reminding her of the tortures she went through; images of Chayna circled around her. Everything was happening so quickly! The noise and the torture of her memories were making her truly scared, “Stop it!” she screamed almost high-pitched. “Please, make it stop! I don’t want more!” Her brain was hurting and her heart troubled; she felt her heart beating wildly and the whole world seemed to close in on her with every THUMP, THUMP, and THUMP; it closed in on Syira and kept coming, until she roared aloud with such ferocity that it drowned out all the horrendous noise.

Dakari slowly began to join the group, but stopped walking as he saw another lioness walk over to Sius, whispering something to her. She didn't manage to finish her sentence, which he couldn't even hear when she suddenly dropped to the floor. "Ma'am?" he asked, slowly walking closer to her, and getting worried when she seemed to be un-conscious, "Ma'am?" he asked, standing next to her and talking to her in an attempt to wake her up, but nothing worked. At some point he began to slowly nudging her shoulder with one of his paws, looking at the other mebmbers of his new pride, "Is she okay?"

Taro nodded at Sius's 'thank you', appreciating the gesture. He followed behind the others quietly, not wanting to intrude or be a bother. Though he wanted to be the eventual king of a pride someday, he sometimes forgot how to be a leader and fell into the quiet subordinate stance.

"Sius, it's no problem," Eeve said, meeting his eyes. They sure were pretty...Without thinking, she leaned forward and brushed her tongue across his cheek in a perhaps too-affectionate gesture. "Oh, umm, sorry..." She dropped her orange eyes and skittered away, now blushing under her fur. Taro watched her and his emerald eyes sparkled with humor.

"Oh, shut up," she grumbled at him, even though he didn't say anything, his body spoke volumes. Suddenly, the lioness that had been crying much earlier dropped to the floor and started screeching something horrible. Eeve dashed over, Taro close behind.

"Hey, wake up!" Eeve shouted, and she shook Syira with her paws. "Get up!" Getting more frantic, Eeve swatted at Syira hard, her claws still unsheathed so as not to hurt her too badly. Taro looked at the other lions with worry, trying to get some kind of explanation for the lioness's behavior.

(This section of the post will go back and review Sius' thoughts about what had happened before he walked over to Wafu and Chanya)

Dakari said he could help. And as far as Sius was concerned, he was another able bodied fighter who wanted to help Kasi. Sius looked Dakari in the eyes and leaned down to his level. "It's gonna be dangerous... are you sure you're up for it?" Sius leaned back up. His wound cried out for rest, but he ignored the cuts telling them that his defiance for pain was justified by Kasi. Before Sius left his den and walked out into the pouring rain, he was grateful to see that Syira had joined his group. She was truly a good friend who would be with him to the end, injury or not. And Taro and Eeve were just as strong. As the two approached the small party Eeve gave Sius a little too much affection for just friendship. At that point, it was clear in Sius' mind that Eeve was falling for him... not to say that he wasn't falling for Eeve as well. Male lions didn't show affection as well as females.

Suddenly, Syira wanted to talk to Sius... privately. It was about one of the lions from earlier: Wafu. And a lioness whom he had never seen before. Chanya. Syira whispered into Sius' ear that they were killers. Sius wanted to hear this. Not for his own safety, but for the safety of everyone in his makeshift pride. Until Syira fainted, drawing the attention of several of the party members. Eeve started hitting Syira trying to wake her up, but Sius stopped a second blow. "It won't do anything. She's unconscious. Sius managed to usher those words like a king. Unaffected on the outside... though on the inside, his thoughts went a little something like Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Syira please wake up! Wake up! WAKE UP!

Well now this was a pickle. Sius had to save Kasi. He had to make sure that he maintained his old pride's blood line. It was more important that Sius' life at this point. But now, Syira was proving to be another friend in danger. Her wound was becoming increasingly bothersome and caused Sius to worry even more for her well being. Sius seemed like he was at a loss, "Any bright ideas? We can't just leave her here alone... and there's no way she can make the journey in this condition." Sius would wait for someone to volunteer to stay behind and watch over Syira. It seemed like they would get the short end of the stick. But in reality, this was just as important as the trek.

---------------------------------------------------------
(This section will go to present time and talk more to Wafu and Chanya)

Thinking about what Syira had said before, could Wafu be trusted? Sius was at a good distance to retaliate if either one attacked. But if they double teamed him, he would have to retreat. Someone back at the den would help in the fruitless fight. However, neither one of them moved. Had they acknowledged his words and decided it not best to test Sius' strength? Whatever it was, Sius would wait for them to make the first move or respond. The wait became unbearable, but he kept his ground. he knew that he had to keep his pride safe. By dealing with potential killers himself, he insured the safety of his friends.

He grew tired of the endless silence and said "What do you two want?" A simple question with a million answers. Sius prepared for the worst... though he was hoping for the best.

(( A little back in time ))

Dakari was a little taken a back when the slightly bigger lion walked towards him, but he quickly shoved the sudden fear aside, telling himself that he was now part of this pride, and that this wasn't another one of those situations in which a lion wanted to kill him. He had his lige in-dangered more than alot of times, and he sometime found it fun. He was sometime tempted to just be a rogue for the rest of his life and get into trouble. But he knew that this sort of fun would get him killed someday and so gave the idea up. But that didn't mean he'd say no if they could use his help. "Yes sir, I'll help however I can." he said, waiting to see what will happen next, "I'm Dakari by the way."

-------------

(( Back to this time ))

Dakari continued to nudge Syira gently, before stopping as he noticed Eeve begin to hit Syira, "Ahh... I don't think this will..." he started quietly, but then Sius told her to stop. It wasn't hard to tell that the king was lost for options, and that he wasn't going to leave Syira all by herself. He decided to help them delay as less as possible, "I'll stay with her. You go." he said, before looking at Syira once more. This time he caught sight of her wound. It seemed to be 'fresh', and he could tell that her sudden faint had something to do with that wound. Suddenly, he got an idea, "Wait here, don't go yet, I'll be right back." he added, before sprinting out of the cave. He remembered seeing a few herbs on his way. Those might be able to ease the pain caused by the wound her still-open wound.
