You know, slashed his fur away but didn't touch the skin?

That's a good theory, but then it wouldn't be a scar, would it? Evil as plain as the SCAR on his face...
And not half as dramatic either lol.

Yes, but, scars take a while to form. The slash was indeed fresh, so if it did cut the skin, they should've said "evil as plain as the CUT on his face" becuase there is no way it couldv'e been a scar already :P
So the fact that they say scar doesn't really prove anything I guess. And because he doesn't bleed, and if you look closely, you can see fur in the air when Zira slashes him seems that she didn't break the skin to me.

Indeed, it takes days, even weeks for a scar to form, and then only if the the cut is deep enough, and believe it or not, hair will grow over some scars...

Indeed. So this is why I think only the fur was taken off. And this means that hopefully it will grow back, thus showing that his bond to Scar is over completely :)

This sounds really interesting to me for a fact about scars. I just wonder about if Scar also did not bleed from receiving his scar just like how Kovu did not bleed when he got his scar.
