Did anyone do this as a kid?

Yeah, me and my little brother played TLK a whole lot when we were little. Though since I always decided I was Simba and my brother didn't want to be a girl (aka Nala xP) we made up another lion cub friend of Simba's named Kimba And that was long before I ever knew that there was a Japanese white lion cub with the same time

lol I used to do that all the time XD but I would mostly make up my own lion, but when i still had my nala plushie, i pretended to be shenzi, my friends said i had the best roar oh and i carried my toys with my mouth

Unfortantly for me, I didn't get the chance to do this kind of playing of TLK when I was little b/c I didn't know the movie yet. I used to pretend when I was younger with my 2nd best friend but it wasn't related with TLK...

oh man, it's all my and my old friend use to do! We would crawl around on our knees until there were holes in our pants, and growl and roar until our throats hurt, climbing all over the furniture pretending they were Pride Rock, or the elephant graveyard...plushies would be our cubs if we decided to be adult lions...*sigh* those were the days.

We sometimes didn't do it right either. We had too many Simba plushies so one of them became Nuka coz we already had a Simba And the plushies had completely different personalities to the film characters; Simba was a sook and Nala was always polite and never did anything silly.

I actually did this. I used to throw up a towel and try to catch it with my mouth, as in how Mufasa caught Simba. :3

No. I was too old a child for that. Back when I was four or five, it was Peter Pan to me and my best friend. I was Peter, she was Wendy and her soft toys were the Lost Boys. And I'm not sure if we'd have played TLK like that had it been out then... I don't recall her being much of a TLK fan... and back then (when I was five), I played mostly with her.
