Born Free

Born Free is a family movie released in 1966 based on the novel of the same name. The story is about Elsa, a lion cub raised by a couple and is later forced to either learn to live in the wild or live the rest of her life in the zoo. It's actually a real story.

I finished watching this movie just now and I loved it so much that I just HAD to make a topic about it! Despite being an old movie, it was actually really good and enjoyable. There wasn't enough action and it was quite simple, but I guess that's why I liked it; movies nowadays are too complicated. I would seriously recommend this film to all The Lion King fans. ^.^

There are two sequels to this movie:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068866/ - "Living Free": The story of Elsa's cubs.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1024905/ - "The Lions Are Free": The story of the lions that starred in "Born Free".

I watched this when I was about 7 or 8 and I loved it, it's such a beautiful story.
I've read the books as well, very interesting for those who love lions :)

I have yet to see the films, but I seriously love the books. There are no words to describe the story properly; if you love lions and wildlife, it's just fantastic <3

I admire the Adamsons so much. I have a stack of books here all about George Adamson especially; I really need to get around to reading them xD

I've never seen the movie, but the book is awesome!
I am also a big fan of: Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, Harry Potter, Disney in general, Days of Our Lives, musicals in general, Dr. Seuss in general and the Grinch.
