"What?" the lionesses stopped walking and stared at Simba. "He can't be missing! His leg's not even properly healed yet!" Semira continued.
Amanda pushed her way to the front of the crowd to stand directly in front of the king. Simba wasn't just large, he was gigantic. Amanda and the other cubs would sometimes jokingly dare each other to climb up his mane one day and see what the view was like. Now, standing before him, Amanda could hardly see beyond the bushy mane along his neck. The top of his head seemed to be floating along with the clouds.
Gulping, she asked nervously, "But sir, how can he be gone? I thought he was my friend."
