That's exactly what I was thinking, it would be a reason to why Simba is so overprotective of Kiara in SP, because he doesn't want to lose her too.

Siblings wouldnt be that important its hard enough to make an animated movie theres no need to add some unimportant characters

Lions can have up to six cubs but that is rare. Mostly, lionesses have 2-4 cubs.
