I'm going to take a big evolutionary leap and say what I've been saying to others for eons, and what other people have been saying for eons...

He's not fat, he matured!

I agree with you, Dariusgib, Simba is definately not fat. As almost everyone has said here, he has matured like his father in muscle and stature. The animators may have made some minor mistakes here and there, but the fact is simple. Simba is not fat.

And remember, people. Looks aren't important; at least Simba had a right heart. (Despite his actions)

o.o I dunno, I just think he's so much cuter in TLK 1. The second one, however, for some reason I like the way they made him speak, like he had that huge, loose jowl with the teeth hanging out like a real lion. *shrug*

I agree with this.
I don't like the way they made Nala speak, though. Moira Kelly tried to sound much older, made her voice deeper and sometimes it sounded very unnatural. Why? I mean, Matthew Broderick has a very boyish voice and still sounds the same. Nala is roughly the same age as Simba.

But Simba was different in the second movie, I see that too... I think he was a bit more blovky or something, and the shades around his eyes were darker... I don't know about him being fat though XD

Yes, they got. SP was produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and that explains a lot.
