This is my first sketch that I created a new scene instead of referencing one form the movie, TLK. I still used a Disney character, though. It shows Nala sitting off by herself with the decaying Pridelands in the background (Pride rock is in the left, but got a bit cut off by my scanner). She's looking up to the night sky, missing the "deceased" Simba and thinking about how terrible life has become for the lions. I thought it may be interesting, so I decided to experiment and this is what I came up with.

I like how she's hanging around what seems to be the only last green patch in the Pride Lands. Cool picture

good job You pay a lot of attention to the background as well as the subject I see. I ought to try harder on that because it's nice and complete now

thank you both! Yeah, I usually don't like to draw much of the background, but I decided to try it this time since I was making it up myself. Moka I'm glad you picked up on my last green patch! That's what I was thinking...
