This is exactly how I always view Kovu from my perspective. He's an astonishing lion to experience from.

Why does everyone say this they where just in love Kovu didn't want Kiara just to mate and i am pretty tired of people saying that all the time

Good boy like him is my Favourite. On the first i disappointed with Simba because he don't believe with Kovu and assume Kovu have a plan to kill him. I disagree with his attitude to Kovu.

Kovu is probably the greatest hero I have ever seen, he is completely mortal and has an immense struggle to find himself. Not only does Kovu have to fight his own family to protect his love, but he also must overcome the prejudices placed upon him by his heritage. This is a much tougher fight than a contest between an archetype and his rival.
