(Wow, I have a lot to catch up on! o.o)
The lone lioness, namely Syira, was intensely surprised at Sius being beside her so suddenly and even more surprised that he would even want to be near her for what she had said and done to the lions. Her eyes were still tear-stained, although she tried to withhold them from anybody’s sight. When he mentioned how she did not need to fit in, her body froze immediately. Syira’s eyes shone with a new light; a light of hope and love. So Sius was willing to forgive her for her dramatic and ultimately stupid actions towards the other lions? New lions entered the scene quickly; what were they all doing in this place together? She turned defensive quickly, but she withheld as a lioness strode stiffly to her side. Again, someone asked her why she was crying and she smiled weakly at her. “Ah, that’s for over-dramatizing..” she almost giggled, but she stopped as she slowed her words down, “my…life.” Her eyes almost welled with tears again before an apparently ‘handsome’ lion strode into the scene. At least he thought so. Syira rolled her eyes at the lion’s attempts to take a female for his mate. At the rate he was going, the only way he could get a female was by pure force. She was about to mutter something sarcastic, when she was interrupted by the other lion’s scornful talking. Perhaps it would be best if Syira stayed out of this one; she could not afford to risk her newfound friendship with the lions around her by her drama. However, when the new lion, whose name was Mufalfa, slashed Sius, he had gone excessively far. One more strike, thought Syira, her blood boiling, and that kid would be taught a serious lesson.
Although her blood boiled, Syira withheld her growing desire to knock some sense into the stupid lion; she stopped herself as she thought with shame that she had acted that way. Mufalfa, however, actually proved he had strength and could pin down even Sius. Syira did not know Sius’ own strength, so she could not analyze whether she would be killed in fighting or not. Her muscles flexed, prepared to strike at any movement that took a wrong turn for Mufalfa. The lion was menacing, true, although his actions probably meant he really was not as strong as he pretended to be. He could just have slashed Sius surprisingly to show authority, though Sius was taken by surprise. If Sius knew that Mufalfa was going to strike, he probably would have won the fight; the swaggering lion reminded her of herself, unfortunately. Although Syira was very moody and slightly dramatic, she was no fool when things got serious. Obviously, this lion was serious, however strong he was. Her eyes were surprised at Zera’s entering and she quickly rushed to her. “Zera,” she almost whispered, “I-I’m sorry…for being a jerk to you and,” she glanced around at the other lions, “to everybody else. Please forgive me,” she bowed her head down before Zera took her leave towards Mufalfa. The sarcastic tone in her voice brought courage to Syira, and she stood grinning proudly that Zera stood up for Sius. When she issued a fight between the groups, Syira’s blood boiled. These were her friends she was talking about, and she would fight to the death for them; even if she had to sacrifice herself. The lone lioness jumped beside Zera, claws outstretched, and roared tremendously at their foe. She growled and almost laughed as she spat scornfully, “Yeah, you coward; come out and fight us! Or are you going to sit out in the cubby corner telling your mommies you want to go home?” Syira knew that what she said might have stupidly brought uncalled for danger, but if the danger came, she would fight until her friends could leave. She looked at Zera thoughtfully, “Zera,” she asked, “do you think it would be best if one of the more soft-hearted lions escort the unconscious lion and Sius away from here? Perhaps Eve would take them; I’m not sure she’s old enough for experienced battle.” She winked at Zera wittily, “I may seem stupid, my dear, but that doesn’t mean I can’t fight like a tiger!” Her eyes glanced at the place where her foe was at; Syira glanced at Zera again, “Do you really think that this lion could really be much trouble?” she asked, pondering her own question, “he could be just pretending to be very brave and strong. I mean, he took Sius from surprise at the first strike…”
Syira was suspicious at the newcomer who entered; he could be trusted, or he could not be trusted; that is just the way it is. Whether or not he would prove threatening to the group, she sighed, “I suppose you can join us…"she leaned in closely to Wafu. “But between you and me,” whispered Syira, “one false move and you’re a goner…pal.” The ‘pal’ was emphasized in her sentence, indicating that he obviously was not her pal; or at least until she knew his true nature.
