Well, I just took the following two screencaps of the animal you were talking about (because I have no life)

The fact that it is short, chubby, and has buck teeth leads me to believe that it is a gopher very similar to the one seen in the Morning Report scene in TLK:

The only differences are the color, the tuft on the second gopher's head, and the fact that it looks more grumpy than the first. Hope that clears your confusion ^^
