I think you're mistaking a koala for an elephant or hippo, because I watched the whole scene carefully and I didn't see one koala. Though there is a part where it seems an elephant looks similar, but literally, to a koala. Besides, koalas don't live in Africa.

i saw something that looked like a koala. It was small. sttod on its hind legs and had round ears and a nose like a koals and it was grey
