Bambi RP (Private)

Once they were all fa enough and well out of sight, Bambi came out of his hiding spot and went towards the meadow. It seemed quiet and empty like a meadow usually does, but something about it was unusual. Knowing that he was taking a big risk, and knowing that he couldn't be sure if it was safe since Gurri , Karus and Garo haven't actually gone into the meadow, the Prince slowly entered the meadow.

Garo only then noticed that Bambi really was no where in sight. "Where's your dad?" he asked, trying to see where he was but without any success. He couldn't have followed them, they would have seen him... right?

Out of boredom, and because he hated Karus, Geno attempted to start some conversation with Marena. "So..." he started, rather nervously as he lay down by her side. "Do you really think there's any food there?"

Marena looked at Geno and smiled. "I hope so. I hope so for your sake." She nuzzled him and started licking his neck.

Karus tried to ignore all of the disgusting acts of love around him. He calmed down. The Great Prince couldn't spring the trap anyway until all of them were there at that meadow. He sighed and said, "Who is coming with me on the return trip there?" He started to head off knowing that it did not matter if all came at once on the 'trip.' He looked at Gurri and Garo and said, "Are you coming you two lovebirds?"

The Meadow was still quiet. Suddenly though there was a sound like a breaking of twigs in the forest near the meadow but it stopped suddenly. Then there was nothing but silence for a while. It seemed the Meadow was back to normal but the sound seemed very strange. There was a pool of water nearby which was a good thing but then there was another snapping of twigs.

Geno smiled at Marena, before returning her nuzzle. "Even if they dont... I'm sure burned tree trunks aren't that bad." it was a joke, basically. But he remembered that there was no grass during the winter and that they he and Gurri fed off tree trunks

The more Karus talked on, the more Garo got the feeling something was wrong. He looked at Gurri, "I'll bring back food for both of us. Stay here, okay?" he said, hoping that she wouldn't insist on coming with him. He began following Karus, along with a few other deers and some other forest animals.

Upon hearing the snap of the twigs, Bambi carefully stared walking towards the part of the forest from which the sound came from. Whatever that was there, it would probably be best if he took care of it before everybody else came.

Marena smiled and went ahead and went with Geno with Karus even though she hated him for she was hungry. She said to Geno, "I wonder if Karus has poisoned the food." She said that in a half-jest but serious matter for she was concerned about his 'plan.'

Gurri nodded but ignored him hiding behind the last group of deer that went with Karus. Soon Karus brought them to the meadow and saw that the Great Prince was already there. The place the noise came from showed no signs of foul play but the area was still mysterious in some way. It was then suddenly that Karus threw a harness on him and shots rang out from the woods hitting every deer present. Karus just laughed. "HA!! You idiots fell for it. This harness protects me from Man. You see my fools Man offered me this harness to keep me safe from his bullets. In return I have to lure idiots like you here to meet your death." He saw Gurri and Marena and came towards them and started licking them, saying to Geno and Garo, "How does that make you feel?" All of the shots hit them almost missing the spine so they were immobile. He heard dogs and said, "Well fools don't mind me if I don't stick around or say good luck!" He laughed and disappeared.

(I know it seems far-fetched but the harness comes from the book from Faline's brother Gobo.)

Geno was walking along with the other deer towards the meadow. He decided to give his leg a try, and when he did, it didn't hurt like it did before. Karus blow wasn't as serious as he thought it was. Walking on all fours felt great, and it actually got him to not notice a tree branch, which caused him to trip and fall. He was about to get back to his feet when the first shot rang out, leaving him in absolute shock. It took less than a second before he heard more and more gunfire, and less than another second untill all the deer were down on the ground, uncluding Marena. He could see that she was alive, but the sight of her like that made him angry. Then he heard Karus laughing, and talking about some wierd thing that he appeared to be wearing, which was surprisingly protecting him from Man and his bullets. When Karus came over and started licking Marena, Geno felt like he was going insane, but he couldn't attack, since bullets were still flying over his head. He felt his heart melt when he noticed Gurri and Garo as well, who were also unable to move. It was then when Karus left away, still limping on three legs. The gunfire stopped, but he could hear dogs coming closer, and he couldn't fight them off without being shot down, unless... If he could run after Karus and get into the woods before the hunters realised what was happening... That 'vest' of him was just what he needed if he wanted to rid the hunters of their rifles. He looked at Marena again, a tear strolling down his cheek when he noticed the horrified look on her face. Without thinking twice or waiting any longer, he got up, and ran as fast as he oculd in the direction Karus took off. It wasn't long before hunters began shooting, but luckily, the bullets missed him, and he was soon inside the cover of the forest. Karus was nowhere to be seen, but he had a sprained leg, and Geno hoped he could find him and take his 'vest' before it was too late. He began sprinting through the forest, "Karus!" he yelled with anger, as tears continued to roll down his cheeks.

Leah and Ronno, umlike the others, didn't go for the meadow and stayed behind with some other deer, including Faline. (( You didn't say that they went to the meadow, so I decided to bring them in somehow )) She heard the gun-fire after a moment, and her eyes widened when she noticed it was coming from where her son had gone to. "Ronno! Garo's there! We have to do something!" she pleaded, hoping that for once her mate listened without asking questions

Karus kept limping through the woods as fast as he could. When he heard Geno's voice he cursed. "Stay away from me dorko! I am warning you! If you so much as attack me I shall go back to that meadow and make sure your mate is the first one shot through the heart! Then I shall let them kill your sister and your friend! I warn you! Stay away!" He started going as fast as he could muttering at his stupid leg. "I just want you to know Geno that Man is all around. There is no escape so you might as well give up now. You and your family and friends are all dead thanks to the 'kindness' of your hearts." He made sure the harness was on and kept limping as fast as he could. Suddenly he saw the twerp coming after him and cursed knowing that Geno would get him now. He tried to calm him down so that he could escape him. "Now Geno no need to be hasty here. Uh I was just joking with you all here. No one is dead. Just go back to your friends and family and leave me alone."

Gurri looked toward Garo and started becoming fearful. She couldn't move and the gunshot wounds felt like a hundred angry ants crawling into her spine. "Garo I am sorry! I should have listened to you! But at least I get to see you Garo for one last time." She then started to hyperventalate over the dogs coming before them. She thought that it was all over. The dogs started growling and overcome with hunger went toward the Great Prince first. They were about to sink their teeth into his flesh.

Marena also was scared though not for herself but for Geno. She knew he was going after Karus and that she was afraid that Karus would kill him. "Be safe Geno...," she whispered.

"Come on Leah we have to hurry." It was then he saw a most horrible sight, like a massacre. "My goodness what has happened! Garo!" He saw his son not moving. If he knew he felt this way he knew Leah must be feeling even worse so he tried to calm her down. "Leah I am sure Garo is okay!" However it seemed that he was stressed out himself. He told Leah, "Do not go out there for man shall kill you." He looked around at Faline and the rest. "That goes for all of you. I'll..." He started to go out there when suddenly he was shot as well. He groaned but quickly went to the Great Prince hitting the dogs. "I know you were expecting your mate to save you 'Princey' but I'll have to do." He tried to push him out of the meadow when he was shot again.

Karus made a mistake when he spoke up, which made it easier to find him as Geno simply had to follow his voice. It wasn't long enough before Geno found Karus, and his eyes locked onto what he really needed; the vest. Geno knew that Karus leg made him almost completly unable to fight, and so ignored what Karus was saying because it simply was another manipulation. His teeth bared, Geno charged and knocked Karus off his feet. It didn't feel as good as Geno expected it to feel, what really mattered was getting back to the meadow with that wierd vest before it was too late. "Save it!" he shouted, before kicking Karus's other legs and chest a few times. Taking off that vest wasn't as hard as Geno thought, and once the vest was off, Geno put it on the way he saw Karus do back in the meadow. Geno was about to run back, but he felt like he had to say one more thing, "Why did you do this?" he asked, his tone not showing any sign of anger but rather sadness. Without waiting for Karus to reply, Geno turned around and ran back to the meadow, knowing that Karus wouldn't be able to keep up.

When Garo noticed that Gurri followed him to the meadow, his heart sank. He felt like he had to do something, even if disposing the hunters of their guns was impossible, it was better than lying around and do nothing. He tried to get up, but his body failed him. He looked around him and saw that his father was trying to help Bambi, but he didn't have any luck either. It just seemed hopeless. He at least wanted to get Gurri to safety, even if it costed him his life. "Please, Gurri... Go while you still can... I don't think our fathers can distract them any longer... Please..."

Bambi tried to get up, but the hunter got him better this time, and as much as he tried, he just couldn't. He saw the dogs, and let out a sigh as he understood that this was the end. He felt like he failed everybody, especially his children, who he knew to have come with all the others. The dogs were about to put an end, when he saw a hoof whack one of them in the face. He looked to his side and saw Ronno, and that made him realise that this wasn't the end. Ronno just gave him another chance, and the forest was inches away. Some how, he managed to pull himself to his fit, and place himself underneath Ronno before he fell to the ground. Ronno was heavy, especially because he had a hole in his neck. He managed to break into a run, and he and Ronno were soon in the forest, out of Man's sight, but not out of the dogs. "Get up Ronno!" he said as he placed Ronno down and nudged him with his nose, knowing that they both had little time before the dogs reached them again. Now that they were in the forest, they had a chance to get to the hunters without being killed, but Bambi wasn't leaving Ronno behind, not after what just happened.

Karus cursed seeing that Geno got the harness. Soon though he realized that if Geno tried to help the wounded deer he would be shown to be an imposter and the hunters would shoot him. He at least had consolation that would happen. As for him he would stay there and take the harness from Geno's dead body. He started shouting towards Geno's direction saying, "Why? I'll tell you why you insolent fool! Because first off I hate you! And secondly Man saved me from being an orphan. That is why!" He laughed a cruel laugh and decided to head towards Geno's direction.

Gurri looked at Garo and started sobbing knowing that if she tried to move or if Garo helped her he would be shot. She tried to move but it was no use as her body was too weak. She looked at Garo and said, "I can't move." It was then the situation got worse for them. The hunters shot again though this time they shot the wounded deer Garo, Marena, and Gurri again trying to get them to die. She cried out never knowing so much pain. She looked at Garo and he seemed to be in even worse pain than she. She knew the hunters would keep shooting until they were dead.

Ronno tried to get up himself and saw that somehow he got beyond the meadow near the trees. He saw that somehow the Great Prince had saved him. This was the only true time he felt mad at Bambi since they 'made up.' "You fool! Why did you save me?! If you had that much strength you should have saved Garo instead!" He then heard more gunshots out on the meadow and knew what was going on. He scowled at Bambi and said, "If my son dies today I will kill you and then myself!" He tried to get up but soon slipped and fell down. He knew he was no use so he cursed at himself. He finally pulled himself up and started to walk but felt as if he couldn't breathe.

The hunters were about to take another shot when suddenly trucks came by with park rangers inside them. The rangers made the hunters and dogs run away knowing that they had killed and wounded more deer than was allowed. Suddenly there was silence and the meadow seemed to be safe again. Ronno tried to move forward toward his son and mate. "Garo. Gurri. Are you alright?" He was looking for any sign of their breathing. He saw that they were all shot twice and were bleeding massively.

Karus meanwhile went after Geno finally catching up to him somehow seeing that Geno seemed to be lost. He smiled and said, "I see you have lost your way fool!" He went up to him but was shot by a lone hunter about 300 yards away. He cursed and said to him, "Give me that harness or I will knock you off of this cliff to your death!" He pointed toward the ledge. Soon the hunter didn't care and tried to shoot both of them.

Garo felt another wave if pain go through him as the hunters shot him again. It hurt so much, and he knew that the hunters will continue shooting untill everyone were dead. He remained perfectly still, while whispering to Gurri. "Don't move... Maybe if we don't move they'll think we're dead." he said, despite how hopeless everything seemed to be.

Bambi tried to ignore what Ronno was saying, as he tried to think of what he could do. It was then when he heard the trucks, and when he saw the rangers, her recognised them from the time Faline was shot when Gurri and Geno were still fawns. The dogs followed the hunters as the ranger made them all go away. Bambi didn't wait for anything else to happen and ran directly into the meadow. Gurri was alive, which made him be relieved, but when he looked towards Marena, he couldn't see Geno. He went over to her, "Marena? Everything will be okay now... Where's Geno?"

When everything became quiet, and Ronno came to them all of a sudden, Garo smiled slightly as he realised that it was all over. "Dad, we're fine." he saidm looking at Gurri, who he knew was going to be okay now that Man and the dogs were gone. "Everything will be okay now." he said weakly, but reassuringly

Geno got lost, and ended up at the top of a cliff. Karus caught up faster than Geno predicted, but the hunter was shooting at them, hitting Karus once. He however was safer than Karus thanks to his vest. Geno noticed that the hunter didn't care about Karus, and was shooting at them both. "That, saved you? That is shooting you now! he said, feelng mad at how ignorant Karus was behaving. He then realized that the other hunters were somewhere around the hunter that was shooting at them. Geno quickly knew the way he could get there by running through the wounds. "It's over." he said, before running straight past Karus and heading back towards the meadow. Geno knew he wasa fast runner, and Karus wasn't going to be able to catch up with his wounds.

Ronno smiled at Garo and said to Bambi, "I apologize for my outburst." Ronno then headed over to Marena and got nervous all of a sudden. "Bambi! I suggest before your son returns we hide this body!" Bambi looked confused so Ronno went ahead and said it, "She's dead."

Gurri smiled and was happy to see Garo was still alive. She tried to move but instead fell down. Ronno grimly looked over to them both, "Let your bodies rest." Gurri knew that Geno would be devastated about the news and she too started to sob knowing the pain the news was going to cause her brother. She looked at Garo uncertain of what to say.

Ronno then saw Geno approach and immediately jumped in front of Marena's body. He hoped he hid it well enough. He made sure he would not approach him by saying, "Well boy don't go close to me! Talk to your father."

Karus caught up and from the angle he saw the treeline he saw the body and yelled to Geno, "Yeah 'boy' obviously they will not tell you the news about your mate being dead!" He laughed out loud. "Didn't I say I would get my revenge you wimp!" He laughed and then limped away hoping Geno would not follow.
