I would bet my life savings on that Disney Animation Studios will never pay attention to anything in the book universe. Why Would they? They are completely their own meadia form and universe with their own creative teams who likely prefer using their own imagination and creativity and not fanfiction characters and fan theories. Also I've never heard Disney Animation Studios touching any fanfiction/book universe stuff. By all means people, keep daydreaming - there's nothing wrong with that. Just saying, so to remind people of not getting their hopes too high up if there actually is someday in the far, far, faaar future going to be another TLK movie...

I've never stumbled over an argument where insults fly an a person isn't given a chance to speak their opinion. o.O Actually I've never seen an argument spring from "Kopa is my favorite character" comment. But people should give a [censored] about who the cub is, on a certain level.

However I've seen a lot of arguments (and been part of such) sprung from someone trying to claim the cub in the end of the movie is officially and canonly Kopa. Because it's not and many people actually do give a *beep* because it does matter for there is a fine line between personal canon and official canon. My point; what's canon and official should matter or else fandoms would be lost under a gazillion fanfiction views all claiming to be true and more and more people confusedly asking what is real. That is what's happening with Kopa right now out there. The fatcs should be kept straight - and in the Kopa matters they aren't kept straight.

Hence, I can't tell you how many times I've seen a question "Who is Kopa?!?!" and ten different Kopa theories are flying at the asker, offered as "this is what really happened" and sometimes they end up arguing with each others "no I'm right! No this is wha really happend to Kopa" when in fact nothing happened to a character that never existed in the movies!!!!!!!

If people just bothered to get the FACTS straight, get FLUFFY/KIARA straight and do their homework and thus learn that Kopa is NOT written by Disney and NOT approved into the movies - perhaps eventually people would stop being confused and know the facts while they STILL could enjoy the fanfcition that is Kopa!!!! Keeping the facts straight is nothing away from Kopa but is a whole lot more to the entire fandom.

It's the web of lies mixed with half-truths and the truth that pissess me off in this fandom. That web that is formed with too many people blindly trusting anything they read on the internet and/or deliberately spreading fanfiction as official canon just because they would like it to be.

Please let me give a metaphora: It's almost like a film adaptation of a much-loved novel, a film that totally messes up all the characters' personalities and butchers the core storyline just because they themselves wanted it to be that way and still they market the film as if it was exactly like the novel! They don't care about the fans who deserved a respectful adaptation of the novel they love and got their hopes up and then disappointed. They don't care about the new-to-the-fandom people who watch the film in false belief that they get to know the real thing. In this TLK/Kopa case similar thing is that some fans paint in their own minds a fanfiction view that they want to be official and then they pass it off as official without care for those fans who want and deserve to get the facts right. It is so widely spread that even those new who are trying to find out the facts by searching the web instead of asking on YouTube or somewhere - end up getting mostly the lie and confusion at their face and with a good luck find a post or a site that actually knows and/or cares about the fatcs.

Thanks and sorry if I offended anyone. I don't think I've ever said everything I feel about this Kopa mania. Now I think I have.
