The sun started to rise, casting small shadows on Pride Rock. The chill in the air from last night started to diminish, and a warmth creeped up. Mikalaya looked up, opening her eyes and yawning. She had slept outside last night, to stay away from her father and brother. She didn't want to be near them anymore. They didn't care about her anyway. Her father only wanted her brother to be king of Pride Rock, not her.

She sighed, stretching and yawning once more, before getting up. She looked to the cave. then shook her head and started down the rocks to the grass. Finally feeling the soft prickly grass under her paws, she smiled, and walked on through the plains to the watering hole.

Kiara watched as her daughter walked away and sighed. She wished things had turned out better. She heard a deep yawn come from her mate, Kovu and watched him gently stir. He looked so peaceful when he was asleep, unlike when he was awake. Ever since the birth of their children, Kovu had changed. He had become obsessed with making their son king, not thinking about how it would effect their daughter.

Kiara shook her golden pelt and rose as she followed her daughter to the watering hole.

Dimond and Koko where sleeping but Dimond woke up and tryed to slip away from Koko without him waking. She tip toed across the den trying to not wake anyone up and then she ran towards the pridelands. Her tiny paws went as fast as lighting and she finally stopped. She looked at the beautiful Pridelands and she sighed "Why couldn't mummy and daddy live in a place like this" She fell down the hill, into the pridelands. "Ouch!" She said getting up.

Siri slowly opened his eyes the first thing he saw was that Dimond was not in the den,mm i guess she already woke up nice then i don't have to wait alone.
He walked out of the den stretching a bit and shaking out his pelt,after the everyday morning ritual he started looking for Dimond this was not a hard task because she usually went out to the hill that gave a great look at the pridelands. So Siri walked up to the hill but Dimond wasn't there huh he thought how could this be she is always here every morning,well when she isn't here i at least can take a little look at the Pridelands.Oh what was is beautiful why couldn't our parents just behave and not get banished that we could life there and maybe then i would be the prince,well i guess that my dream will never become reality.he looked down and there he saw... huh Dimond what are you doing down there you aren't alloud to come into the pride lands.

Dimond heard Siri and said "Oh dont be daft! I fell!" She lifted herself up and was about to climb back up until she had an idea. "I have an idea!" she said as she jumped up and down like a rabbit. "We can run and stay in the pridelands and the King and queen might accept us!" She smiled and ran off towards Pride Rock. She went and looked at all the lions and lioness's sleeping, then she saw a a few cubs. She entered the den and accidently stood on one of the cubs tails.

oh no this is not a good idea Siri thought,But what to do now should i get back to the den to get Koko or shall i go after Dimond oh i don't know what should i do. Well i shall go after Dimond otherwise i would be to late.Oh why does Dimond always have to be so imprudant it will kill her one day.Siri walked very slowly into the den of Pride rock oh thank the great kings up there that they are all asleep but where is Dimond now or there he is....oh no.
Dimond was there and in front of her was standing a big adult lion with black manes and a brown pelt.

Kiara's head whipped around ot the sound of Kovu's roar. She was torn between following Mikalaya and having a word to her about how strange she'd been acting lately or seeing what Kovu was upset about. She sighed and remembered what her father had told her - her duty as queen always comes first. She made her way back to the den slowly, wishing she could spend some time with her daughter.
As she entered the den she saw Kovu standing over two strangers, one of which was very young. She remembered being their age, and how she had met Kovu accidentally, but she had been punished for it.
"Kovu" she said "Let them leave in peace"

@Pixie - I don't mean to sound rude, but I'm role-player for Kovu, lol. I'll go with it.

Kovu's eyes fluttered open as daylight rushed towards his sleeping face; nature's way of awakening an animal. He groggily rose to his paws and yawned tremendously; after having shaken his mane and body into wakefulness, he glanced across at Kiara. However, Kiara wasn't there. Kiara usually left towards the Water Hole and ultimately woke before Kovu almost every day, so Kovu wasn't too concerned of her abscence.

"Kiara," he whispered, as not to waken the lionesses who were still asleep in the den. "Kiara, where are you?"

Kovu strode out into the beaming sun only to be cut off by two wandering lions; probably outcasts. Not knowing of good orgin or bad, Kovu growled at them and lept forth at the two lions. He roared aloud but was shocked as he heard Kiara's pleading voice behind him. The lion glanced back at his mate with a confused expression which quickly changed to a stern, concerned look.

"Kiara, these are outcasts. We don't know if they can be trusted; let alone they wandered into our pride. This can not be tolerated." He looked back at the strangers and growled at them. "Alright, be quick, you two. Who are you and what are you doing here?"
