Any truth to TLK4 rumors??

I can't wait for the Diamond release! Do we have to wait ONE year? It better be awesome! I remember saving money and counting the days for the special edition when I was in middle school.

About the 4th film... no, it's not real. Sadly, people beleive everything they read online, confusing canon with fanon. And now with Lasseter (the anti-sequels guy), there's no way they'll be going to make a sequel soon.

John Lasseter is the "big guy" who manages Disney since 2006, after Eisner (ugh!) left. Eisner was preparing a lot of new sequels (Dumbo 2, Sleeping Beauty 2, Snow White 2) and he was also the one who had the idea to make all other sequels. Lasseter doesn't like sequels so, after The Little Mermaid 3 was released, he said "No more sequels to Disney classic films".

From what I remember, John Lassater also directed one of the Toy Story movies.

Yep, he was the head of Pixar and some Pixar films were directed by him. Now he's the boss of both Disney and Pixar.

Personally, I'm extremely excited about the new release of The Lion King diamond edition. I suppose it will be a while before they finish because they are currently making a Bambi diamond edition. Being an avid fan and collector of classic Disney movies, this is huge to me. A final oppertunity to buy all those hard-to-get classics!

I'm worried what Disney will think of next. 2-Disc Special Edition, Platinum Edition, Diamond Edition..what's next? Sparkle Edition?

I noticed today that "Fantasia" has made it's way onto S.E edition Blu Ray, I imagine all of Disney's films will eventually be there, but no sequels as far as I know are planned for films from Disney's hay days.

Ja, I don't think any of the Disney sequels will ever get on Diamond edition. They're too new to be very special; you can most likely find them at any store. (Even Bambi 2 has remained popular in many stores) I had no idea they made a Fantasia on special edition, however. o.o

Whaaat? Is it on the official web site or in some interviews or something, that this guy is anti-sequel? o.O I'm not sure if I'm glad or sad about it if it's so! I mean, I like Simba's Pride and Bambi 2 and I love Fox and teh Hound 2. Like, some sequels are very entertaining and heartfelt. It really depends on if the makers are into it for stupid parody means or for an actual indepth, heartfelt means like I feel is the case with the three sequels I mentioned. Even though they don't get to the level of their originals, they still tried and succeeded in depth and heart. Cinderella 2 is one good example of a sequel that should've never happened.
