To put it elegantly, Simba is quite extraordinary. Simba has changed my life. He is everything that I had hoped to be and he is everything that I want to be. In a nutshell, he's my inspiration to reach for the skies Whenever I feel down, I remember how Simba felt during his cubhood. I think about how much it hurt, but in the end, it made him a stronger lion. One can learn a lot from Simba's experiences. Hakuna Matata is how I live life, though not as extreme as Simba's Hakuna Matata. Forgive and forget. The past can hurt, but you can either run from it, or learn from it. Though it takes Simba a while to learn this, he's one of the few characters to put it into action. Simba is my inspiration to keep going. To become stronger. And to find love. Simba will forever be in my heart.

Same here with me. He has a special life that can be put into our hearts to remember for a long time. Simba is a very sympethetic character that we can understand about the difficulties that he goes through over time. His past does hurt from all of the tragedies that happen to him but at least that it doesn't overwhelme himself 24/7. When he is an adult and king, Simba is very afraid of history repeating itself and he doesn't want to go throught it all over again. For example, in TLK2, when we see Simba's nightmare, that shows his fear of history repeating itself again (even though it was a scenario of the day when Simba lost his father as a cub, but was his adult self in the dream). For me, the idea of manhood is that "he" has to face the conflicts that are taking over his life and see a solution to getting rid of their major problems. He has to do what he needs to do in life. I feel that Simba has the idea of "manhood" around TLK1 but also carrying it on in TLK2.

Though I remain a concientous objector on this matter, I will agree with these two who seem to know much more about him than I do... I like all the characters in TLK, but I admit that I am slanted toward one in particular....

I love both adult and cub Simba for different reasons. And who does't love adult Simba's design? :P
