The Mystics. *Private Arani and QOPR*

[Arani]

Hatari slowly lifted her head and looked around. For some reason she was still dizzy, and it took her a minute to see Tahi laying down beside her, starring at her.

"Send out more and larger patrols." She said. "My father has said to, and I agree." Tahi nodded and stood up.

"I will send out an extra afternoon and evening patrol, and I shall join the evening patrols." Hatari nodded and stood. She only just stepped out of the den when she spotted Ayria sitting nearby in the shade. She walked over to her.

"Hey Ayria. I need to speak to you."

[AdAstrα]

Ayira nodded and walked over to Hatari. Feeling not only dizzy but also slightly nauseous, she sat down once again, repressing an urge to lay down, listening attentively as Hatari began to speak.

[Arani]

"I know that you have just arrived here after such a long journey," Hatari began "But I need your help. Hofu's return marks a period of great danger to the Pride. You told me that you have mystic abilities, and though I only just met you, I already trust you. I need you to tell me if you ever have any visions or dreams about Hofu or other threats towards the Pride. You are the second pair of eye's and ears for everyone here. I have already risked their safety once, I will not do it again." With a groan, she laid out on her stomach. "I'm sorry. Everything is spinning."

[AdAstrα]

"I know how you feel.." Ayira said, smiling. "And I promise to help whenever I can. This is my home. I really don't want anything bad to happen."
She sat down. "Who IS Hofu by the way? I don't recall meeting someone like him anywhere around here when I was a cub..?"

[Arani]

Hatari looked up at her, sighed, then sat up so they were at eye level. "Hofu only just came here about 3 months ago, so you wouldn't remember him. One day he wandered into the Pride Lands, half starved and dehidrated. We gave him food, water, and a shelter through a storm the next day. He loved it here so much, he asked permision to stay. We agreed. Back then, he was just like a cub. Playful and happy. He loved to play little practical jokes on the Pride, and even started flirting with the other lionesses. But then..." She sigh again, looking down to remember. "Then, he started to become greedy. Eventually, he wanted to become king of the Pride Lands. I had had a vision of him attacking and killing my husband, Tahi. We exciled him the very next morning. He was outraged, but he had to run. He couldn't stand up to the entire Pride. We searched the land frequently to see if he had returned, but he never did. There was only one thing I failed to see... He came back once, 3 days after his excile and attacked Isabella. Lucky, we got there before he killed her, but she was beat up pretty bad." She looked back at Ayria. She looked surprised, but said nothing. So, she countinued, "If only you could see his anger. No one can truely understand how much he has changed. The rage in his eye's was overwhelming to me. We were best friends while he was here. But he has changed so much..." She fell silent. She couldn't talk anymore. She didn't want to remember anymore...

[AdAstrα]

Ayira gasped. "That's...that's so sad." She said quietly. She couldn't believe someone would change like that, although evidently, that was exactly what Hofu had done. This did not make her increasingly afraid of the rogue, but even more determined to help keeping her pride,her family, safe from his rage.
"We really do need to make sure he never comes back here." She said, giving Hatari a gentle nuzzle, "I'm sorry you had to go through all that. It would be hard for anyone. I...I wish I could have helped,somehow." She turned away. She felt guilty for leaving, not that there was an actual reason to, but she couldn't help but think that perhaps, if she had stayed, things would have turned out differently.

[Arani]

Hatari did a slight smile as Ayria tried to comfort her, but she quickly went back to a sad face. "Ya. But I've been through worse things than that in my lifetime. Best to just... forget and move on, and deal with Hofu as..." She took a deep breath. "As quickly as possible." She looked back up at Ayria. "And believe me, Ayria. There's nothing you, or anyone else, could have done. He is what he is. We cant do anything now but wait for his next move. But listen, I don't want anyone to go out alone. Especially you and me." She said, worry in her voice.

Ayira nodded to show that she understood. "Yeah,we better be very careful from now on." she said, "We have the power to predict his next move. If anything happens to us, the entire pride will be doomed...man,I'm starved." she added as her stomach rumbled loudly.

[Arani]

Hatari laughed. "Yes, so am I. I can try to convince My mother, Vitani and Isabella to acompany us. There's safety in numbers." She stood and shook herself. "I hope I dont offend you, and please say if I do, but how were you able to survive out there all alone? I mean you had to eat something. I just dont understand how you did it, being blind and all."

Ayira smiled understandingly. "It was hard." She began, "And I would probably have died had it not been for my ancestors. They help me out whenever necessary. They guide me." She laughed. "I hope this doesn't sound weird to you or anything."
