Me too. Muffy's like a father god inside of myself b/c he has one of the smartest minds of all. His wisdom spreads on to each generation and lives with it, just like how I will soon do the same thing when I have my kids one day.

Ah, such a strong and sensible character. He's noble and wise..who wouldn't love him? His mane is kind of...large for a lion, but he is a large lion anyways...

It's a shame they had to make him die, but if they didn't there wouldn't be any Lion King, would there?

Mufasa is a character I think that has a lot of complexities that we do not get to see in the film. I think Mufasa does emit that aura of regal that is associated with the king. I would like to know what sort of upheavals took place during Mufasa's reign? All kings have problems to some extent. I think the schism with Scar would have effected Mufasa greatly as he feels loyalty and even love towards his brother. I think Mufasa somehow took the blame for him being against him somehow. Of course, this is all me reading into it, and I tend to do that a lot as a sociology student.

I loved the scenes Mufasa was in and thought he was a powerful character. I especially enjoyed him and Sarabi. I could be assuming, but I think Sarabi and Mufasa had Simba when they were a bit older and Mufasa had established his reign compared to the birth of the cub of Simba and Nala at the end of TLK.

I couldn't agree with you more. Mufasa is someone I would have loved to see more in the movie,especially since from what is seen so far of him. He has a very interesting personality,in a good way, he's a great king and an even greater father and husband.
I can understand your point of his relationship with Scar,and I have to agree,that's what my opinion about that matter is too. It's like a classic situation between brothers. He,as the older brother,feels like he should at some extent protect his younger brother and guide him. Scar wasn't too fond of that and it grew into the sort of relationship they had in the first movie. Scar thinks of Mufasa as someone who has distanced from him,but it's actually Scar who has distanced from him. On the other hand, Mufasa is willing to still 'keep in contact' with Scar as he loves his brother no matter how many disagreements they have.

This whole differentiation in what they think and how they feel about each other is very clear at the point when Scar is moments away from throwing Mufasa into the stampede. Scar is drop dead serious,not an emotion shown. He is only driven by his blind march towards the throne. On the other hand,Mufasa is the one who is shocked that this was happening,dissapointed in his brother and worried for what will happen next,whether it's about him or his son.
