how does your environment reacts on you TLK-fan-ness?

I think anyone that knows me knows I like TLK. From the Scar beanie that has been in the back window of my car since 1998 to the framed print on my all and the newer Scar beanie wearing a Dayton Dragons batting helmet, I think it's safe to say the world knows. The only person who gives me any grief about it is my best friend. He's has the Geek Hierarchy on his hard drive and pretty much insists that I'm a furry and all the things that go along with that. Then again I give him crap about being obsessed with Transformers. So i guess we're even.

It's taken me on some awesome road trips, allowed me to meet a lot of amazing people, and provides a source of entertainment for me and a few of my co-workers to use to annoy other co-workers.

One of my RL friends doesn't like TLK. She keeps on saying to me that it's for little kids. I say "It's not for little kids! It's for everybody!" She also complains about why there's singing in it but I know that the TLK are pure awesome! Trust me, all of my other RL friends are cool with the fact that I'm a hardcore TLK fan!

Everyone is my class/family knows I'm a TLK addict. My class is annoyed while my family is....I don't know. But its possitive.

Most people I know are cool with it. Except maybe my sister, who thinks I'm nuts. But I tend not to really care what she says =P

My mum hasn't bugged me about it for a while, and my friends irl don't bug me about it because I have like, 1, lol.

A RL friend of mine got addicted to TLK again because of me! I'm so happy that I got her into it!

My parents let me like what I want (I am an adult, so it doesn`t matter what they say anyway, lol) but my sisters.. they don`t like that I`m into things they consider to be childish, and keep telling me I need to put childish things aside and grow up. This makes me angry and sad because my love for Disney (and TLK in particular) is a big part of who I am, and I refuse to change that. My love for Disney brings me happiness and is the source of many of my online activities, such as chatting here and making websites.. plus, I probably wouldn`t have gotten into Graphics making if it wasn`t for TLK!
So why should I abandon something that makes me happy and inspire me to be social and creative? You tell me.
