Can I find that deleted scene anywhere on youtube? I heard somewhere Timons father was a meerkat with black hair, that's also the way he mostly appears in fanart, so I suppose that design is based on something, right? Or maybe on conceptual art, just like Mheetu fanarts are based on the concept drawings from TLK.

His name was Buzz, and he was cut from the movie, cuz he really wasn't necessary. There are rough images and scenes of him on the 2nd DVD I believe.. :)

No idea. The deleted scene he's in doesn't mention anything. Maybe he got eaten by a hyena.

Yes, it's true that Timon's father was cut from the movie, but there's a back story about him and who was he. Timon's father was of course Buzz, and he was one of the bravest meerkats in the whole colony, and known as the leader. He went alone and fought against hyenas, and he died cause hyenas travel in a pack. Even though he was cut from the movie, there's still an explaination that Timon has a father and what happened to him in the LK universe.
