A Change of Plans [PRIVATE: AC & The Whistlerify]

Marini just nodded at Kali, who seemed to be sharing her opinion, and sat down to wait a little bit more before going and checking on Tanga. That didn't really matter because Tanga then appeared from the tall grass. Whether he calmed down already or heard them coming she couldn't tell. When he asked about Sarabi, Marini didn't know how to answer, since she left her once Tanga ran off. It seemed like Sarabi saw what she did was wrong, but Marini still hoped that the lioness wasn't angry at her. Eventually it was Busara who answered Tanga's question, I think she got the point. he said and sat down in-front of his son before bringing up the more important question. How are you?

--------------

Realising that his mother didn't feel like getting up any time soon, Simba simply lay down besides her while being careful with his paw. He wanted to tell her that she was wrong by saying that she did all of this for her, he knew that they were each other's only familly. Mom that's not true. I'm sure you weren't only thinking about yourself. I don't think I'll understand what it's like to be a parent any time soon. He knew she was looking after him after all, and the important thing was that she understood what she did was wrong, and was going to stop doing so. I'm sure Tanga will find a way to forgive you, you know what he's like.

Tanga sighed as Busara asked how he was. "A little better than before, I just..." he paused, forcing himself to look up at the three of them, before continuing. "That all just made me so angry...I had to get away, before I hurt anyone else. But I'm calmer now. I just...I hope things can sort of go back to normal now..."

----------

Kali nodded as Tanga spoke. "Yeah...yeah, I hope so, too...these last few days have not been fun, for any of us...but you've handled it really well, Tanga, despite everything...I'm proud of you."

----------

As Simba rested beside Sarabi's side, the mother actually let out a soft purr, so relieved that he was not holding her actions against her. "Maybe...later today, when he's had time, I'll try and find him. But I don't think things can go back to the way they were after this...not completely, at least."

Busara felt so proud of Tanga. He just seems to deal with anything that happens to him, no matter how hard it is. "Do you think you can come back now? Or do you need some more time?" Busara asked, giving his son a look telling him that he and Kali could leave if he wanted them to. As for Marini, it was her desicion on what to do.

----------

Simba let out a sigh. "Things always change. I don't think anything goes back to the way it was. It all started when Mufasa died. That was a permenant change in everybody's life, and it was because of Scar. Tanga and Marini were exiled, because of Scar. Sarafina became Scar's little puppet while he, Sarabi and Nala left becasue of Scar. They're hiding and are thought to be dead because of Scar. Sarabi thought Tanga mean to delibretly harm Simba, again because of Scar. The land he loves so much is dying. All of this was because of him.

Tanga thought for a brief moment. "I think I can go back...if Sarabi's willing to be a little nicer now," he said slowly, coming up to the three of them. "But right now, I'm happy to just spend some time with you, if that's alright."

But even as he said it, Tanga noticed something that felt a little out of place. "Wait...where's Uhuru?"

----------

Sarabi gave her son an astounded look at the sudden, wise comment that escaped his muzzle. "You've grown up so much, Simba," she said softly, placing a paw on his shoulder gently. "You may or may not realise it, but you've grown from the young cub I remember having to restrain every day, to the young lion I see now...you're ready to take your place as King, Simba...I can tell. Once we stop Scar, that time will come, and I have no doubt that you will be ready."

Busara nodded and smiled slightly at Tanga, Of course that's alright. he said, before really noticing that his little daughter was no where in sight. He must have forgotten to check on her before following Tanga. Again. But he was relieved when he noticed the little cub approach from the direction Sarabi was still at with a quite blank expression on her face.

Uh, there you are. Busara said, smiling down at his daughter You alright? he asked, picking her up and gently placing her on his head where she liked it the most.

Uhuru giggled when he dad picked her up. She was feeling perfectly fine now that everything seemed to have worked out. From the bit she heard out of Simba's talk with Sarabi, the former queen seemed to have come back to her senses. I'm fine daddy.

-----------

Simba only then noticed that Nala wasn't there, and probably left to give him some alone time with his mother. He believed that they were going to take the pride lands back, but there was still something that he couldn't be sure about. Do you think Sarafina's okay? he asked, though his mother probably had no idea. Sarafina had sacrificed so much for all of them, and he hoped for Nala that nothing bad will happen before they went back.

Tanga smiled warmly at Uhuru as she showed up, relieved that she was alright. "Good to know, sis," he said, wandering up to Busara's side and giving his sister a quick nuzzle. "How's Sarabi?" he asked, wondering if she had seen anything that might suggest she was less aggressive now.

----------

Kali just watched on, proud of her two children for handing Sarabi's ridiculous behaviour so well in the past couple of days...particularly Uhuru, since she was still so young, and could easily has been heavily traumatised by such an event.

----------

Sarabi's face briefly showed her doubt when Simba asked about Sarafina. She had worried about her friend frequently, and wondered how she was coping. But she managed to smile at Simba again. "I can't be sure, Simba...but knowing Sarafina, she's strong...I'm confident that she's okay."

Uhuru tried to recall the bit of the conversation she heard before following the rest of her familly to the tall grass, I think she's fine. She was talking to Simba when I left. According to what she saw, Sarabi was no longer mad at Tanga, and she was relieved to know that.

-------

Simba hoped Sarabi was right. I hope so... I don't want Nala to go through what I did. he said and sighed. Though it wasn't exactly a right thing to say, since Simba still had his mother, but Sarafina was Nala's only familly. And besides they've lost enough to Scar already, Do you have any idea where she went to? he knew that Nala left to give him some time with Sarabi, but he hadn't noticed on where did she go.
