I'm between Sarabi and Nala. Sarabi lost her family and was possibly abused by Scar and the hyenas, while Nala lost her friend and had to grow up in the Shadowland..

Simba. He had to watch his father die right before his eyes. And to top it all off, his uncle told him that it was all his fault. Imagine how you would feel. Simba wins this hands down.

In my opinion Simba was suffering the most. He lost his father, but not only did he lose him,he was convinced that he was the one to blame for that tragedy. For me,that is one terrifying thought. He thought he killed his own father, the father he loved more than anything else. Just that part of Simba's life has made me feel so bad for him... Being driven away isn't as bad as being certain you're responsible for your father's death. I'm just so glad he got to the truth at the end. I feel like a noob for saying this,as if I have just seen the movie, lol. But yeah,I'm glad Simba got to the truth at the end.
THIS. Seriously, Simba didn't even have a real reason to be guilty.. He didn't do it on PURPOSE.. and he definitely couldn't have foreseen the future. Then he just just sat on his ass in the jungle and had the time of his life, while Sarabi suffered both emotionally and physically during Scar's reign. Seriously, she lost her entire family.. Simba knew that at least his mother was alive.
LMAO that made me laugh SO hard XDD
Let's try to take their suffering out of the context of the film for a bit. Simba no doubt was dealt a heavy emotional blow, especially at his tender age, when he was told by Scar that he killed his own father. He fled the Pridelands in shame, leaving Sarabi and his entire pride to fend for himself all alone in the wild. Lo and behold, he met Timon and Pumbaa who basically brainwashed the cub into forgetting every painful moment of his past and living by the rules of Hakuna Matata, which means "no worries". He was taken care of, well fed (on bugs, ew lol), and pretty much loved till his adulthood :P
Now take Sarabi. Her pain was multiplied every single day she was without Simba and Mufasa, not to mention the abuse she must have suffered at the paws of Scar and the hyenas. That slap he gave her couldn't have been the first, could it? Take that with the fact that she and the lionesses were weak and starving during Scar's rule, and she had no family member to turn to for support. Her life lost its meaning with the absense of the future king, her son. Sarabi was forced to watch in humiliating defeat as the brother of her own mate, whom she'd trusted so much up till this point, betrayed and tormented the lionesses, refusing to even let them escape his tyranny. Not only that, imagine having two of your most precious loved ones torn away from you in just one day, without any proper explanation or last goodbye?
I'll leave it for you to decide who suffered more. ;)

I voted for Scar, mainly for what he went through in order to do the actions he did. I mean, he was pretty much ignored his whole life, because Mufasa was a little bit of a better choice for king. Scar may of not been so evil if it weren't for him being outcast at such an early age.
