) the genius of his plans was the fact that he managed to keep himself from getting the blame or publicly guilty (til the end), and him using the hyenas as an excuse for mufasa's death and all that happened isn't very, well, friendly. also- by getting the clueless creatures on his side, he had a sort of defense- he basically used them.
it was evident that once the idea of putting the blame on the hyenas to simba that he didnt hesitate to say it. According to the 6 TLK stories, when all the attention was pointed to Mufasa by Ahadi and the lions of the pride, Taka went off and made friends with those three- and he got upset when he wasn't allowed to hang with them any longer (it was like the scene with kovu being held by Zira and Kiara held by scar when they were cubs after they escaped the crocodiles) ..... O_o
