"Excuse me, I'm sorry, but... can we come into your cave for a moment?" The older cub, almost a teen, asked the brownish outlander politely.

"hrrrm. Well, I guess. For a minute. But why would you ever WANT to?" She growled rudely.

"I know its him Maruka! I KNOW it is!" The little tan cub bounced at the teen's feet.

"Don't get your hopes up Sarafina..." The teen, Muruka, mumbled.

Sarafina dashed inside, (the outlander moved quickly out of her way so as not to be brushed by her fur), and stared at the littled scarred lion cub in the shadows of the cave.

"TAKA!" She exclaimed. "I knew it was you!"

Muruka walked in beside her. "You mean... you KNOW kim?"

"Yes! Taka! You remember me, dont you? We used to be the best of friends!" Sarafina pleaded.

The red cub shifted him paws self consiously. "Sara...fina?" he said finally.

"Yes! Taka, oh Taka, it IS you! Mufasa will be so happy! You have to come home right away!" She tried to run to him, but the teen outlander lioness quickly barred her way.

"Excuse me, but SCAR is not going anywhere. I found him. He's MINE." She hissed.

"But Taka HAS to come home! Ahadi and Uru miss him so much!" Sarafina said.

"NO. SCAR is mine. And he's not gong ANYWHERE!"

"Wait..." The scarred cub pushed his way foreward. "Sarafina..."

"Taka! you want to come home right? tell her!" Sarafina whispered.

He shook his head. "No Sarafina."

"What... what do you mean? I... I miss you so much!"

"I mean that she's right. I dont belong in the pridelands. I belong here. Now please... get out of my territory." He growled the last part regretfully.

"Taka..." she whimpered.

He looked away.

"Come on Sara. Lets go home. we arent wanted here." "Maruka pushed her along.

Once out of the cave, they walked in silence.

A tear dripped down Sarafina's eye at the same time as Taka, now Scar, cried the last tear he ever would.

My entry for the TLKFAA contest (i got seventh... =/ not bad, not good). I hope it works, ever though some of the lions are teens, not cubs. By the way, Muruka is my version of Malka's father. This is part of a fanfic im working on where Taka ran away as a young cub and dotty the outlander sheltered him.

The caves and rocks took me a looong time, but i think they turned out pretty well! Probably one of my most detailed backgrounds ever.
