Who do you think suffered the most?

I think Sarabi suffered the most. She thought she lost her whole family (excluding Scar)

I really think it's Scar lol. I know he's the bad guy in all this and everything, but Mufasa was favored over him since he was a cub. He had to sit back and watch as everything was handed to Mufasa simply because he had the brute strength to rule the kingdom and not the wisdom (which he had too). I just feel awful for his life, but when he died I think he very much deserved it.

Yup

And according to the most official source, which is TLK: 6 New Adventures, Ahadi loved both of his sons equally. Scar I think rather made himself a victim because he was jealous of Mufasa being the first born. But it's all open for interpretation

I agree Sarabi probably suffered the most. Simba had to live with the guilt of believing he killed his father, but he had Timon, Pumbaa and Hakuna Matata to keep him going and still be pretty happy. Simba is a close second on "the list" though. Sarabi had to live believing she lost both her husband and her son and watch her own kingdom decay under the rule of a king no one could challenge because of the hyenas. Must've been pretty dreadful D:

It's a really hard choice to decide between Simba and Sarabi, experiance leads me to say Simba, but Sarabi is also a victim.

If that was a reply to me, that's not what I meant at all D:

I meant that Mufasa died, so he can't really have suffered as much as, say, Simba and Sarabi. Like someone else mentioned here, Mufasa died knowing he had at least saved his son, even though the last moments of Mufasa's life must have been absolutely horrifying. And I don't think he suffered much in his life either - he had a queen, a son and a beautiful kingdom. The one thing that bothered him I'd think was Scar... So my opinion is that even though Mufasa died brutally and through betrayal, ranking the characters in the poll here, Mufasa comes last. He suffered terribly in the last moments of his life, but compared to the other characters, maybe he got out the easy way
