I would guess an combination of his "brute" strength and it came naturally. Simba was strong, well as strong as he could be after couple years of bug-diet and it came naturally as self-defence. Scar was already a bit old and not in the best shape.

i feel like he learned his awesome fighting skills from being pinned down by nala so many times, i know it sounds weird but i feel like the roll thing he does when scar pounces him is something he learned from nala

Hmm, I think it was before he ran away. Playing is important for lions cubs...

When he ran away to the jungle, he lived a carefree life, and ate bugs. So, ... and I wouldn't think it came naturally, yes he was strong, but Scar should have had the better experiences from fighting off rouge lions.

Well his father is mufasa and youve seen him sorta fight so i guess his skills came from mufasa
