I think Sarafina actually gets quite a bit of attention 
For being such a minor character, she has quite the fanbase. Me included xD Maybe it's because there are so many possibilities to make up your own story/personality for her? I think that's what gets me interested in her anyway. She is an important character since she is Nala's mother, but that is really all we know about her. Plenty of space to fill in your own story
