Busara listened to his mate, and walked over to her side as she settled herself down away from their son. With Uhuru still on his back, he lay down slowly so she wouldn't fall

Noticing the rest of Tanga's familly getting settled for the night, Marini lay herself down next to Tanga like she did every night since they started seein eachother. She hoped that Tanga would recover from all of this eventually, whether it did include Sarabi forgiving him or not

Kali sighed as Busara settled down by her side, with Uhuru in his mane as always. She looked at her daughter, before switching her gaze over to her son, then looking. "Uhuru...why don't you stay with your brother? I know Marini's there, but I think he could use your support as well," she suggested, her gentle tone telling her daughter it was completely her choice whether she did or not...she knew how much Uhuru liked the comfort of her father's mane.

Tanga sighed as Marini settled down next to him, shuffling closer to her, nuzzling her to let her know he appreciated everything. He would have licked her, probably even outright kissed her, but Uhuru was nearby, and he didn't want to make his sister uncomfortable by showing too much affection to his girlfriend, even if she deserved it. "Thank you, Rini," he whispered, "for everything today...I just hope this doesn't end up coming between us all..."

Uhuru thought about what her mother suggested, looking back from both her to Tanga a few times, seeing Marini return Tanga's nuzzle, she figured out that she'd probably just end up interrupting them. "I think I'll only be interrupting..." she said quietly to her mom. Besides she always enjoyed being cuddled up in Busara's mane, and always was untill her usual morning energy reserves forced her to get off.

Marini purred slightly and returned Tanga's nuzzle. She wasn't really worried at the moment, Tanga seemed to be fine, and so were the rest of them. Well, besides Sarabi, but that didn't bother her at all "It'll work out eventually." Marini said reassuringly, this time meaning it

Kali smiled as she saw Uhuru looking at the young couple. "You're still a little awkward with their relationship, aren't you?" she asked, smiling. "Look, the two of them love each other, but that doesn't mean that you can't be part of your brother's life. If you want to stay in daddy's mane, then that's fine...but if you want to stay with Tanga tonight, and you're unsure...just ask him. I'm certain he'd like your company, but there's no harm in asking him, is there?"

Tanga managed a weak smile at his girlfriend. "I hope so," he sighed. "Before we came here, Sarabi was the closest thing I had to a mother...and now this happens..." he sighed again, before shaking his head, refusing to let himself become overly depressed at today's events. "But yeah, I hope it works out."

Uhuru looked back at her mother an nodded, "I know I can be a part of his life and everything..." she said, trying to think on how she could explain it, "I just think that they need some time for themselves after today."

"It will work out, whether Sarabi forgives you or not." Marini said, deciding that they both probably had enough for worrying about Sarabi for today

Kali sighed, but smiled at her daughter consideration. "That's really kind of you, Uhuru," she said, reaching up and licking her daughter, before settling back down. "But if you change your mind, I'm sure Tanga would not mind if you only asked."

Tanga smiled, nuzzling Marini one more time in thanks for her calming words, before settling his head on his paws, feeling safe enough to sleep with her by his side, even if he was still frightened of Sarabi, and nervous of leaving himself so exposed by sleeping.

Uhuru yawned and lay her head down on her paws, "Okay mom." she said, though she was feeling really tired suddenly, and decided to just go to sleep, "Good night."

Kali smiled at her daughter, before placing her head on her own paws. "Goodnight, sweetie," she said, before closing her eyes.

Despite feeling safer in Marini's presence, sleep was refusing to come to him, the slightest flicker of movement from the shadows outside startled him, and when he closed his eyes, Sarabi's furious face haunted him, refusing to let him relax and drift off. He shuffled, trying to find a more comfortable position without disturbing Marini, but it did nothing to help. Resigning himself to a night of scattered, fitful sleep without rest, Tanga simply said nothing and tried to ignore the images his paranoid mind conjured up, although it was proving near-impossible.

Marini could sense Tanga moving restlessly besides her, despite his attempts at not disturbing her. It was quite impossible to move around like that without alerting who ever is ext to you. She knew immediatly what was bothering him. Tanga may try to not show it, but he was still troubled by today's events. Not wanting to say anything and risking waking Tanga's familly up, Marini placed her head under Tanga's, trying to remind him that he shouldn't care about all of this for the time being and that she would always be there for him

Tanga managed to restrict his reaction to Marini's sudden touch to a small jump, and immediately felt guilty for it, and for disturbing her, as he nuzzled her appreciatively. He got her unspoken message that she would never leave his side, and the thought caused the faintest traces of a purr to rumble in his throat as he settled back down, finding it slightly easier to tolerate and ignore his paranoia now.

But despite Marini's efforts, and the fact he was no longer restless, Tanga still had trouble sleeping, and knew that there was nothing even Marini could do to help him. He knew he would eventually find sleep...but not rest, tonight. He would just have to take it easy tomorrow, he realised...and avoid Sarabi at nearly all costs.
