Chissa was shocked."Who?!Nala?!?!"then looked at her."I'm glad to finally meet you,Nala.Welcome back to the pride."then turned around and saw Kiara coming.She ran to her."Kiara!This is Nala!She's back!"Chissa shouted.

"What?" asked Kiara, confused. Then it finally hit her. "MOM!" she shouted and ran up to her mother, purring. "Mom where have you been? We all thought you were dead! Everyone's searched everywhere for you! You look really tired. You need to lie down. Come on, we'll take you to Pride Rock." Kiara paused to catch her breath. This was coming as too much of a surprise for her. Maybe she needed to lie down too.

[Moka]

"Hi, Kiara. It makes me so happy that you're alive and healthy. The Pride Lands look wonderful and peaceful with Kovu as King and you as his Queen." She smiled. "I'll explain everything to everyone once we get to Pride Rock."

Vitani finally appeared."N...N...Nala?!"Vitani almost shouted and ran to her."Nala!Where have you been?!"

Chissa was more than happy now.She put her head into Kokota's mane."Thank godness that Nala appeared.Right,Kokota?"she looked at him and licked his cheek."Sorry for this.I am just too much happy now."she smiled.

"Hi Vitani, I'll explain everything when we get to Pride Rock." Nala said again.

"That's OK, Chissa." Kokota said. "I'm glad she's back too, my mom and dad must have so many questions to ask her."

Kiara and Vitani supported Nala from either side because she looked a little unsturdy, while Chissa and Kokota walked ahead. Finally they arrived at Pride Rock. Lionesses and cubs watched wide-eyed as their former queen was escorted slowly toward the entrance of the cave. When they got inside, Chissa and Kokota made a bedding out of long dry leaves, while Kiara and Vitani helped Nala lie down comfortably on them. The old lioness seemed tired, and Kiara thought it best to leave her to rest for a while before they began asking her any questions. She quietly tiptoed out of the cave while the rest followed. Once outside, she said to the surrounding lionesses and cubs, "The old queen is tired and needs to sleep. We'll find out what's going on later. For now, no one's allowed to enter the cave because you might disturb her."

"Okay,Kiara."Vitani answered.

"Okay."Chissa said and looked at Kokota."So,are we going somewhere now,hah?"

Satisfied, Kiara sat down near the entrance of the cave. She wanted to make sure her grandmother was not disturbed. She really needed her rest. Kiara put her head on her paws and stared at the dark mouth of the cave. What had happened to Nala? Where had she come from? And why hadn't she come back sooner? All these questions swarmed Kiara's mind as she gazed silently at the sleeping figure of her grandmother. You'll find out soon enough, she told herself as she opened her mouth to yawn. Just be patient.
