[Open] Zira Succeeds

Vah nodded slightly as he listened to Kiara, his head still resting on her back. He then began to feel bad about himself for reminding her about what had happened to her a few days ago. He sighed and closed his eyes. "I'm sorry for bringing that up again Kiara. I was being ignorant." He didn't know why he brang it up again. 'I'm such an idiot.' he thought to himself, mentally hitting himself for being so stupid. However, after a few seconds, he forced those thoughts out of his mind, not wanting this moment to falter now. "Anyway, you must be quite hungry too, so when you want to, just go over and have as much to eat as you want. I don't want you to die of hunger, now, do I?" He smiled and nuzzled Kiara again. "One day, i'll go back to the pridelands with you, we'll fight for the truth, and gain back what's rightfully your's."

Kiara hurried t deny Vah's sudden feelings of guilt, "No, it's fine. she said and sighed, "I feel better now." She wasn't lying about that, she really did feel alot better than a few minutes ago, and now having Vah by her side, she felt like she'll be able to move on as the time passed. She was hungry after not eating anything in the past 24 hours, but she decided that it could wait another hour or two. "What? No. This is my problem to deal with, I don't want to drag you into all of this." she said, looking at him, "If something happens to you..." she started, now not afraid of hiding her newly discovered feelings for him

Vah was happy, and also relieved that Kiara didn't mind him accidentally bringing up her past. He silently let out a breath that he was holding, while he waited for Kiara's response to his mistake, or at least he thought it was a mistake, eyes also widening as she told him that it was fine. Although this happiness and relief was short-lived, as next, Kiara basically told Vah that she didn't want him to come back with her just in case something bad happened to him. He sighed, but was determined to put up a good argument as to why he should come with her.

"Kiara...What if I didn't go and something happened to you? I would be living with more guilt than you could possibly imagine. I would be constantly blaming myself for not being there for you. Not being there to protect you when you needed to be. Not being there to comfort you if the time arose. I wouldn't be able to live with it..." he told her truthfully, looking straight into her eyes. "I would die to save you. I know that you're more important than me to everybody else, and if you truly want avenge your loved ones, your whole pride, then you need all the help and support you can get." Vah continued looking into Kiara's eyes, determination was the fuel that fired him now. Determination to get the pridelands back for her, and to get rid of Zira and her followers. He would do anything in his power to help. Kiara meant the world to Vah now. "Please, Kiara. You need to believe me."

Kiara stared into Vah's eyes as he spoke to her. Even though she didn't want him to take part in all of this, she couldn't deny the fact that he was right. She was going to need all the help she could get. He just seemed to have this effect on her, whether what he was saying was to her liking or not. She continued to stare into his deep, understanding eyes and let out a sigh. "Fine... Okay, there's alot of time before that happens anyways." she said, and placed and again placed her head in Vah's mane. "Let's not worry about it for the time being." She hoped that when they did go back, that Vah wouldn't end up being taken away from her too.

Vah was, again, absolutely relieved that Kiara had understood why he needed to go with her. "Thank you, Kiara..." He said simply, as he returned her nuzzle. "I love you so much." Vah told her gently, not now afraid of saying what he felt about her, unlike before. "I don't know what I did without you...but you're right, we have plenty of time before we can even consider going back." he smiled, pulled back from the nuzzle and licked Kiara on the cheek. "Especially when you have cubs on the way." he whispered, while, once again, continuing to nuzzle her.

Kiara again began to purr un-controlably when Vah began to nuzzle her again, and saying how much he loved her. She returned his nuzzles, while listening to what he was saying at the same time. But she felt something was just wrong all of a sudden. Vah was willing to be a father for those cubs, cubs who weren't even his, and this again helped Kiara realise how special he was. "Thanks for willing to help me with those cubs..." she said, not pulling away from him, "I know they're not yours and everything..."

Again, Vah gently lay his head on Kiara's back, listening to her at the same time. "Kiara, I would never do anything but help you with your cubs. I would never just leave you to deal with it by yourself." he said to her, putting his head underneath Kiara's. "I want you to gain your place back within your pride from Zira, to save the place that you live." He then realised that Kiara was a princess and that he couldn't rule with her. "when we go back, to the pridelands, and when we take it back from Zira, I can't rule with you." he sighed, hoping that he was wrong. "I'm not even part of the pride, and I'm just a rogue who's going to come in a take it from someone more deserving of it."

Kiara was quick to deny what Vah was saying. "So what if you're a rogue?" she said, "My parents were betrothed when they were cubs, but there are no other males in the pride at all, and if there were then Zira would have had them killed at some point. My parents would have probably sent me away at some point to find a mate in another pride or something... I think that's the tradition..." She then looked him in the eyes, "My pride will accept you if you're with me." she said reassuringly, "But for now they all think I'm dead..."

Vah nodded in understanding as he took in what Kiara was saying about him becoming part of her pride. Becoming king...He pushed those thoughts away for the moment, and carried on listening to Kiara. The last thing that she said seemed to sadden her. It was about everybody thinking that she was dead. He closed his eyes and sighed, not believing what Kiara said about everyone thinking she was dead being true. "No. If everyone thinks you're dead, then they don't truly know you and respect you." he said reassuringly, again, wanting to make sure she didn't feel bad about running away. Vah was almost certain that her pride still believed that she was alive. "You're the princess, they should know that you wouldn't just run away and leave them forever. That isn't the Kiara that I know of and love." he told her, wanting her to believe that what he said was true, and he was sure that everything he was saying was true. "And besides, you have a lot to take back from Zira when the time comes, and a lot to get rid of." he said to her, in a very relaxed tone.

Kiara sighed, "They think I fell into the river like my mom. Nobody knows I survived the fall..." she said, wondering how many of her pride were still alive. She then understood that it was all Vitani's fault. If she hadn't listened to Zira like it seemed she was going to, then Kovu would still be alive, and the two prides wouldn't have continued to fight, her parents... Didn't this beat all, it turned out to be just like it was with Scar killing his own brother. But she didn't want it to end the way it did when her father came back to Pride Rock. If she had Vitani and / or Zira killed, it would just repeat itself; Simba's blame for Scar's death, the pride again splitting up, and again ending up in a bloodbath. Nothing will change if it ended that way again. But she turned her attention back to Vah as he said she had alot to get rid off. "What do you mean?" she asked, looking at him confused
