[Open] Zira Succeeds

Vah felt that his heart was beating a lot faster than usual now, pounding against his chest. "What is it Kiara? I-I understand if you...y'know want some time alone...but I-I-" He just couldn't say it, and he knew that he wouldn't be able to say it, either. To add to the fact that he was stuttering a quite a bit, Vah was taking much shallower breaths, breathing faster than he normally would, too, although he tried his best not to show this in front of Kiara. He was certain that he wasn't having difficulty breathing normally when they had first met, and he was also certain that he didn't have this warm, fuzzy feeling that was still growing, every second that he looked at her enchanting and spellbinding features.

Kiara was quick to say something this time, "No, that's not what I meant..." she said, quickly denying the impresson Vah got of her wanting him to leave. She then thought how lucky she turned out to be. If she kept on her own like that she wouldn't have made it alot further, and even if she met someone else on the way, he might not have been as friendly as Vah was being. She was so nervous that she didn't notice Vah was also nervous. "I'm glad you're here, really." she admitted

Vah nodded as Kiara replied to him, listening intently to every word that came out of her mouth. The softness and care that was so obvious in her voice made everything she said even more amazing than it already was. "Kiara, I...thank you for saying that, I appreciate it. Even more than you could possibly imagine...thank you..." Vah sighed, looking down at the floor, eventually managing to tear away from Kiara. "Its just...that I've never really met any lionesses before, and none of them can compare to you in any way. Whether it be their kindness, personality, their honesty about things...their beauty..." he said the latter in a quieter voice, looking back up at Kiara. "You're the first lioness i can ever truly trust with my life, I know it. That's true for nobody, but you, Kiara."

Kiara was touched by Vah's last statement. He trusted her, even though she was a stranger he'd only know for a short while and she felt her cheeks going red under her fur. He must have been living quta quite hard and lonely life, and even if his attempts to comfort her a moment ago made it sound like she had been through a harder time, she was still going to remember how he helped her today, and try to do the same if he ever needed any comforting from her. She opened her mouth to try and say something, but she didn't manage to do anything but continue to stare ito his deep, blue caring eyes. Without being able to hold herself anymore, Kiara leaned towards Vah, and began to slowly nuzzle his mane, hoping that she wasn't taking this too fast

Vah was immeadiately taken aback and left totally speechless as Kiara began to nuzzle his mane, and the fuzzy feeling he had before went completely crazy, along with all all of the thoughts going through his mind, which also went crazy. He gradually let all of his worries fall away as he realised that she felt exactly the same way to him, as he did to her, and he began to return the nuzzle just a few seconds after Kiara had begun to do so, getting rid of all the shock and surprise, eventually settling down, and letting his feelings let loose. Vah closed his eyes while nuzzling Kiara and started to speak, not actually knowing what he was going to say to her. "Kiara...you-you're the best thing that's happened to me in my life...in fact, you're more than that. You're something so amazing that words can't describe it..." he whispered to her, meaning every single word he had just said. "I love you..." finally, he had managed to say it.

Kiara didn't stop nuzzling Vah, despite the fear that he might not be feeling the same way as she was. But when he began to return her nuzzle, it felt amazing. She completly forgot how lonely she felt a few minutes ago, and now understood how lucky she was to have stepped on that tree branch. She felt even better at his words, all of them. He seemed to be returning her feelings, and even more than that, and it made Kiara happy. She cuddled her side closer to him, drawing even more comort from the closer contact and continued to nuzzle him, purring noticably as well

What Vah felt at the moment was off the scale. The warmth that he felt from Kiara's prescence had been ever increasing, every single second of them nuzzling each other. He never wanted it to stop. This cemented itself in place when she began cuddling up closer to him. Vah returned the act and moved closer to Kiara's body, shutting out all of his negative thoughts, wondering why he even thought that any of this was bad. Vah felt that he could fall asleep while this was happening, just like that. That was how good he felt while he was with Kiara. His breathing started slowing down back to normal, along with his heartbeat, and started relaxing a lot more with her.

To Kiara, every second seemed like entrnity. She wanted this to last forever, all of her thoughts, whether positive or negative were now out of her mind and didn't seem to have any importance. Her sleepiness was only increasing at the comfortable and warm position she was at cuddled up close to Vah. She stopped nuzzling him and instead placed her head under his, drawing warmth and comfort from his mane and closing her eyes. At some point Kiara moved her head from it's place next to Vah's chest and placed it down on his paws, not falling asleep, but resting peacefully in their cozy embrace

Vah simply watched on with a smile, as he let Kiara rest her weary head on his paws, keeping them as still as possible so as to make Kiara as comfortable as possible. He then moved his head onto Kiara's back, gently resting it on there, enjoying the moment as fully as possible and letting the warmth from Kiara's body against his make him even more tired. Even though he had only woken up around thirty minutes ago, it was almost like he never actually went to sleep, and instead had been awake the whole of the last day, however he loved this feeling. This was the first time Vah had ever actually had any feelings for another lioness, apart from friendship, and he was very glad that the first time was with Kiara. "That reminds me." he said quietly to Kiara, still resting his head on her back. "When was the last time you had a decent nights sleep? You've had it very rough on you over the last few days, you must be exhausted."

Kiara lay completely still, with the painful thoughts of eveything that happend to her in the past few days now gone, Kiara felt like it didn't matter, like the best thing she really could have done was run, and then move on untill it she could come up with a way to help the few remaining pride landers. But now being with Vah, she felt somehow guilty all of a sudden. She didn't want to drag him into all this war and hatred, he didn't deserve this at all, and she kept telling herself that no matter how hard it will be, she was not going to drag him into her problems, because if she lost him to Zira as well, she would never forgive herself.

She was still purring noticeably as Vah spoke to her again. His voice was so cheering and protective, despite the quiet tone he was using. "I think the last time I had a good sleep was..." she began, trying to remember, "...two days ago. I haven't slept properly the day before... you know... and then I was walking all night." She expected herself to feel nostalgic at reminding herself of her parents and Kovu, but it felt less painful than it did before.
