You gotta love the Chinese.

The Simba's Pride stuff that you could readily find in Wal-Mart looked really strange. Was that Hasbro that was cranking that out? If it was you'd think a company that is completely paranoid about their own lines (Transformers) would at least try to make it look consistent, especially if Disney let them license it. Then again this is the company that will take the same mold, use a different paint app, and call it something else and sell it for $19.99.

And trust me...the Transformer nerds WILL buy it.

No doubt! I went to BotCon 2007 in Providence, RI and there was a defect in some of the exclusive toys (the missles were wrong on one of the toys). On Thursday night we got our convention packages and toys and by the time we got back to our hotel room there were about 20 or so sets of convention exclusive toys on Ebay. They told everyone about the problem and the next thing you know the bids for the sets already on Ebay start going up and up. If I remember correctly they went for about $700 to $800 a set with a known defect.

Same thing that happens whenever someone sees a defect. People just like individuality.

That does not stop people from buying "the limited edition (insert name here) with the rare (insert defect here) defect"
