All I can say is that they were really, really lucky that they found Simba when they did. He was their ticket to survival.

If they had not stumbled on Simba in the desert... TLK... as we know it... will be 30 mins long. Lol. Little cub, born to king and queen of the pride lands, gets chased away by hyenas (sent by the king's evil brother) after thinking that he killed his father, and then gets lost in the desert and dies. *End credits roll*
