Uhuru managed a kind smile at Nala, "It's fine, really."

Nala nodded. "Thank you...you seem to share Tanga's ability to take almost anything in your stride, you know."

But the subject of Tanga once more brought unpleasant emotions to Nala's mind, and so she gave Uhuru one last, forced smile, before laying her head on her paws, letting the sun's rays slowly warm and relax her. Maybe a brief stint of sunbathing would help relax and calm her down, and help her see this morning's accident in a better light.

Uhuru then cloed her eyes and tried not to think about today's events. But she was worried about her older sibling, who she hadn't seen since he ran off after the accident. She was slightly concerned about how would everyone else behave towards him after today, Simba's mother Sarabi in particular, for she seemed to be the one angriest at him. But she didn't worry about Nala one bit, it seemed like the lioness would soon forgive Tanga, despite how angry and confused she seemed to be right then.

Back in the cave system, Tanga's fear of Sarabi finally began to quiet down as silence filled the cave once more. It seemed that Simba and Sarabi had finished speaking, and Sarabi had headed to her own nook to rest.

Feeling his shaking finally start to come under control, Tanga slowly released his grip on Marini's side, looking at her hesitantly, not wanting to catch a glimpse of what might or might not be outside their nook. "Is...is she gone?" he finally asked, fear still evident in his voice, even if it was not completely consuming him any more.

After a while of being stuck in Tanga's close embrace, Marini could finally listen out when Tanga released his grip on her. It was still quiet, and hopefully Sarabi was either out of the cave system or either resting in her nook. "I think so." she said, hoping that the next time Tanga or even she ran into Sarabi it wouldn't be like it had been a few minutes ago.

Tanga breathed a small sigh of relief. "That was..." he started but his voice faded away. "I'm scared, Rini...if mum and dad are mad at me, too...then I don't know what's gonna happen. I could get kicked out, or..." his words faded into a sad sigh, as he cuddled close to his girlfriend, although this time he did not smother her. "Today's just been so horrible...and I just want this mess to end."

Marini remembered that befoe she ran to find Tanga, his parents didn't seem to be mad at him, which made her a little less worried about what he said. But she didn't say anything about that because she couldn't know for sure how will they both feel when they see him later. "What ever happens, I'll be with you." she said reassuringly, before deciding to drop the subject of today's accident as she cuddled closer to Tanga and settled her head in his mane like she always did

Tanga sighed, managing a small purr at Marini's words. "Thank you, Rini...you've always been there, no matter what, and I can never thank you enough for it." He settled his head back down, and let her cuddle into his mane, feeling a little more relaxed by her words, and the fact that she seemed willing to stand by him through everything.

Marini didn't know whether there was anything else she could do or say right at that moment. She just remained where she was, cuddled and comfortable against Tanga's side, but she hoped Sarabi would see sense eventually. She didn't enjoy seein her the way she behaved towards Tanga a few minutes ago, and was very scared of her, even if she wa mad only at Tanga.

A short time later that afternoon, Kali still rested with her mate, but spoke up for the first time since their last conversation. "Dear...do you think we should talk to all the others about what to do with the training? One of them might have an idea we haven't though of yet...and hopefully Marini's convinced Tanga to come back now...I want to see if he's okay."
