Simba was stunned, turning towards Tanga, who nodded to confirm Nala's story. "I...you've had a rough time of it, then, huh?" he said, before sighing as Tanga nodded again. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked."
Tanga shook his head dismissely, giving Nala an appreciative glance for avoiding the touchy subject of Kulinda's death. "It's fine...and it seems that the more lions that know what happened, the easier it is to deal with, so you've actually helped me a little." He then decided to ask Simba something. "So...what are you going to do now?" he asked, regretting it when he saw Simba wince at some internal pain his question had triggered.
Before he could apologise though, Simba spoke up. "I...I want to go back. Even if the pride won't accept me, I at least want to help stop Scar from sending the pride to it's death. But..." at this point, he stalled, worried over how Nala would react to the news of Bardu's threats against his family, especially since she seemed to be somewhat protective of him. In the end, he could not explain himself properly. "But...Bardu...Sarabi..."
Tanga adopted a confused frown at Simba's words, turning to Nala to see if she understood the meaning behind them.
