Marini nodded, "Yeah, we should." she said, letting him know that she was coming too. Simba might not be angry, but Marini didn't know how Nala would react, or Sarabi if she came back all of a sudden. So Marini decided to go with him, so she could also check on Simba as well.

Tanga nodded, before finally walking out of the tall grass with Marini, heading towards their cave system. His nervousness showed quite plainly, but he kept going despite it...he needed Simba to know that he truly regretted what he had done.

Marini didn't say anything during their walk. She wandered whether anything interesting happend while they were gone, but ignored her sudden curiousity when she couldn't see anyone. Sure, Nala and Simba were probably inside. But Uhuru was no-where to be seen, so were Kali and Busara. Marini remembered that Sarabi took off so she could be alone, but something made her wish that she didn't show up while they were checking on Simba

Tanga stopped outside the entrance to the cave briefly, gathering his breath and courage, before giving Marini a thankful nuzzle, and wandering inside, heading towards Simba's nook. "Simba," he called tenatively. "Simba are you in here?"

Nala's ears perked up as Tanga's voice reached her ears. A frown reached her muzzle, and a threatening growl rumbled in her throat as the golden-furred lion came into view. Only Simba's earlier warning stopped her from threatening him and making him turn around right there and then. "What do you want?" she asked coldly, inwardly satisfied when she saw Tanga take a rapid step backwards from her cold treatment of him.

Simba was deep in his own thoughts and was trying to get some sleep when Tanga's voice reached his ears as well. He raised his head up slightly, a little surprised that Tanga came so soon. He expected him to take a long time before bringing up the courage to come back, he didn't know that Marini went and talked to him in the tall grass. He wanted to say something to Tanga as his friend showed up, but Nala cut him short by giving Tanga a rather cold welcome, one he hoped Tanga wouln't recieve from her, especially after their talk a few minutes ago. "Come on in." he said, hoping Nala would understand the hint and drop the anger she felt at Tanga for a while.

Marini silently followed Tanga as he advanced on Simba and Nala's nook.
Nala's reaction to Tanga was exactly the one she hoped he wouldn't have to recieve from her, and hopefully Nala would forgive Tanga at some point. But her worries dissapeared as Simba invited them both inside, so she began entering slowly so that Tanga wouldn't be left behind

Tanga gave Nala a nervous look, seeing that she still was not happy at him at all, but nodded at Simba's invitation, shying away from Nala as he made his way around her and sat down a short distance from Simba. "Look, Simba, I..." he paused, trying to figure out exactly what he wanted to say. The way Nala constantly glared at him was not helping him keep his train of thought. "Simba, I'm so sorry about what happened. I wish I could take it back, I really do." He hung his head, feeling the tears forming in his eyes again at the sight of Simba being forced to do nothing over than sit in his nook and wait as his paw went through a long, slow healing process.

Nala just kept her face locked in a hard frown as she watch Tanga attempt to apologise for what he had done. The only thing stopping her from growling and snorting at him again was the fact that his regret did seem very genuine.

Simba sighed as he realised Tanga was still blaming himself for this. It didn't seem like there was changing his mind any time soon, at least not untill Simba could walk again. "It's okay. Accdents can happen. he said as cheerfully as he could, "I mean... lions get hurt, or stepped on... some even get lost." he said, before he shook his head at the thought of were did he just come up with that.

Tanga managed to look up at Simba at that. "And I'm really glad that it's not worse...but just how bad is it, Simba?" he asked. He had heard what Marini had said earlier, but his conscience wanted it confirmed first-hand that it was not as bad as he had feared.

"It still hurts a little." Simba began, "But Busara said the paw should heal normally nd fully recover in a mnth or two."

Tanga sighed, before turning his attention onto Nala, hoping he could find a way to calm her down, as she was still showing every sign of being angry at him. "Nala..." she said cautiously, coming up to her. "Look, Nala, please...I'm really sorry for what I did to him, I wish I could take it back..."

He tried to place a paw on her shoulder, but she threw it off, huffing irritably at him, causing him to back off, especially when she gave him another hard glare. "I..." she said, her voice shaking with suppressed emotions, although what emotions they were were nearly impossible to tell. Eventually she sighed, before standing up. "I need some air," she finally said, her voice completely devoid of emotion as she stalked off.
