Kali nodded. "I'll tell them all tonight...for now, let's just give them a chance to calm down, and let today's events sink in a little."

Nala could see that Simba needed some reassurance. "Don't worry, Simba...we'll work something out. Scar won't get away with what he's done, I promise."

Tanga jumped, his whole body starting violently as Marini's voice reached his ears. Slowly, he unurled from his hiding position, looking up at her, before shifting his gaze away guiltily. "Go away," he said shortly, staring at a random blade of grass, fighting to stop his emotions. If he had another emotional breakdown...or got angry, he'd never forgive himself for what he knew he would end up doing to Marini.

"Yeah, you're probably right." Busara answered. They all needed some time for today's event to sink in like Kali said, especially Tanga and Sarabi

Simba smiled at Nala's words. Even though he felt completly useless and ulnerable, Nala's words cheered him up a little. She always had a good affect on him, even during the time they were nothing but good friends.

Marini noticed Tanga's violent body language when he noticed her, and decided to listen to him and leave, but before doing that she had to say something. "Busara checked on him, he said that Simba would heal normally." she said, slowly turning around to walk away

Tanga looked up as Marini turned to walk off. "It's my fault," he said in a small voice. "And I know you all hate me for it...I just..." Tanga stopped, not knowing exactly what he wanted to say. Why was he speaking, anyway? He knew Marini, like Sarabi and Nala, and especially Simba, had no patience for him after today, so why was he bothering to try?

Despite how scared she felt at the moment, Marini turned to face him again, "I don't have you. And Simba is not mad either." she said, but didn't come any closer just in case he still wanted to be left alone

Despite his attempts to remain strong, Tanga felt and heard his breathing catch, and could feel the tears starting to slip free from his eyes. "I'm becoming a monster," he said softly, almost to himself, once again showing the claws on his paws so he could look at them. He completely ignored Marini's last statement "I was willing to kill that leopard...and I actually wanted to...and now Simba..." he started choking up, a pool of self-hatred building up fast inside him.

"What if...what if this is the REAL reason mum and dad left me?" he wondered aloud, completely forgetting about Marini's presence, as he vocalised his fears and doubts. "What if...what if they knew what I was going to become?"

Marini couldn't believe what Tanga was saying. "That's not the reason to what they did. How could they know such a thing?"

Tanga looked up, and remembered Marini was there. "It doesn't matter, I can see the same thing in you," he said, noticing her slightly hesitant body stance, like she wanted to leave, but could not do so. "You're scared of me, aren't you?" he asked, even though he beleived he already knew the answer.

"I saw the way Sarabi and Nala were looking at me, so you don't have to pretend. I know what I did was stupid and horrible, and how you all feel about it. You didn't have to come down here to tell me...I know I'm not welcome back any time soon, and I won't get in the way of any of you ever again."

His guilt-ridden mind was throwing up worst-case scenarios for what he had done, and Tanga, in his current, depressed, irrational state, was taking them as reality. He truly believed he was no longer welcome amongst his old family and friends. The one thing that confused him was why Marini was still here, causing him to take a fearful step away from her. Was there something more she had planned to make sure he stayed away?

"I'm keeping my distance only because you asked me to go away." Marini said, not believing that Tanga actually thought that SHE hated him, "And Simba isn't angry at you, he's worried about you." she said, reminding him since he seemed to hav ignored the first time she said it

Tanga sighed at Marini's first comment, realising he had said that...and was starting to regret it. But he snorted at her second comment. "I hurt him, Rini...why would he be worried about me?" he asked disbelievingly.

"Because it was an accident." Marini said reassuringly, "And your his friend... why wouldn't he?"
