What would TLK be like if Mufassa never died?

As much as I hate the fact that Mufasa dies,there wouldn't be much of a story if he didn't.

Mufasa's survival would be Scar's undoing. Simba would grow up a normal child and Mufasa would keep the kingdom in check.

i agree with what most of you said= that it might have occured- about simba growing up wiser and scar being banished, but since personalities change, and I can't help but think of the unfairness Scar (Taka) went through when he was young, maybe, just maybe, something along the way, he would realize his wrong doings and mufasa would, wisely, help make scar an innocent taka again. maybe, while simba would be growing up, a new lioness could come and win scars heart and he might have a cub that would make him realize what love was- and he could try being a good father. maybe mufasa and simba might agree once in a while to let scar rule for a period of time- with them in power as well to stop him because of all the mischief he might decide in causing.

it is really full of possibilities. ^_^

The plot would have become blatantly obvious if Mufasa had survived. How do you explain Zazu being knocked out and Simba being in the gorge in the first place.

If Mufasa never died, there wouldn't be as much drama as much as in the acuallity. Mufasa's death is such an emotional scene but it needed to happen to keep TLK's timeline of events and Simba's future flowing foward. Simba wouldn't be as overprotective to Kiara if he had more time to spend with his father when he was younger.

No, but his exile did facilitate his romance with Nala, it would have been more difficult for them had they grown up together.

It is a gateway through which our story must travel, without it, we would not have TLK

totally boring cause the scar wouldnt of taken over the pridelands and he wouldnt of died and simba wouldnt have met pumbaa and timon and there would be no epic remember scene and it would be plain boring!
