Did Zira want to be saved?

I see the swipe more of a attempt to drag Kiara also down. Wouldn't been so nice to Kovu or to Simba to lose his daughter whom he was so overprotective over.

If we drag the fan-theories in here too, Simba would've been very disappointed over himself to lose his cub for the second time AND both Kopa and Kiara to Zira, Nala would've been heartbroken to have lost her second cub too.

And lets not forget that the oneness of the Pride was hingeing on the love of Kovu and Kiara, her death would have screwed that up.

If we were talking about the deleted scene version of Zira's death, she did not want to be saved. But in the version that was in the actual movie, I think she was trying to grab Kiara's paw, but her claws couldn't hold on any longer, so she fell down. But that's just my opinon.

That's what I thought, but the way Kiara reacted was either defensive or cruel. Come on, offering help then moving your paw. That's not very princess like.

It's a tough call. I've always believed that Zira thought that she was "too good" to be saved by Kiara, and that she would be brought to a "lower level" if she was saved by her. Maybe she knew that if she lived, she would be over ruled by the other lions, and that she would lose the battle anyway. What do you think?

She reached a point of indecision near the end but it was already too late. Her hate got her killed.

In my opinion, her pride couldn't let her be saved by an enemy (Kiara) She WANTED to die, not to be saved by someone like ....that stupid princess ;P

Zira might have wanted to be saved, but when she did, she was far too down the cliff that she was doomed.
