The moment Tyson saw the second poacher trying to leave with Daxis he turned, grabbing his rifle and leaping from the pickup, raising it and pointing it straight at the poacher. He had some experience with guns, and knew exactly how to use the rifle in his hands to take down the poacher if he really wanted to. But he hoped to be able to talk his way out of the situation first.
"Take one more step and I'll shoot, mister!" he yelled, the conviction in his voice reminding the poacher that this was no idle threat. "Now put the cub down and I'll let you leave peacefully. You've already lost your friend because of this...don't make me take your life as well. I've got the gate covered, you have no chance of escaping!"
Even as he spoke, he hit an emergency button on his belt, which caused the gates to immediately start closing, sealing the enclosure off as he steadied his aim on the poacher, his finger on the trigger, ready to take this poacher down if he refused to comply with Tyson's demands...and if he shot Daxis, then Tyson was not going to show any kind of mercy. He just hoped the other lions had not attacked Shane in his desperation to help the golden lion.

Kulinda looked between Tanga and Daxis, torn between the cub that trusted her, and the lion that was horribly injured. In the cub, her loyalty to the cub won out, as she turned and ran off, using the evening shadows to hide herself from the human's sight as she stalked him, sneaking around him, waiting for the perfect oppourtunity to strike, although she knew she could not do anything whil he still had those strange shining weapon aimed at Daxis.

Tanga grimaced as Makali licked his wound, before looking up, as Makali spoke to him. "I..." he stoped, whimpering in pain as his hurt chest protest him speaking. "Are...are the others...okay?" he finally managed to ask, before his eyes widened as he saw one of the humans approaching them.
Too hurt and weak to do anything, he managed to give a weak growl towards the human, which turned into a pained roar as the human touched his wound, which miraculously had missed everything vital. It hurt terribly, and the bullet was still lodged in his shoulder somewhere, but he was still alive, and would most likely recover, given time.
