Plot:
The question still exists, what happened to Kopa? Well, as an adolescent, before Kiara was born, he was threatened by Zira, and thus fled the Pridelands. It is a simple story. However, as an teenage rogue, he faced many dangers. He was beaten, chased, starved, everything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong. However, he managed to survive. He met a small group of lion who had lived during Scar's reign. One was his grandmother, Sarafina, the male was his uncle, Mheetu, and the last female was Sarafina's friend. Together they traveled, and other lions and lionesses would join and leave. But pretty soon they found themselves a decent sized group. The newly formed pride needed a place to stay. They then came upon this strange valley, and found it to their liking. Kopa was set as king. The pride flourished. Sarafina's friend became the pride healer, Mheetu became a father, and Sarafina became head of the huntresses. But now there is an issue. Who will inherit the throne? It was dawn. The beloved sun rose up to meet the sky in the daily dance. Some animals were quickly falling into the land of dreams after a long night, but others began to awake, to embrace the day and bask in the sunshine. Soon enough the valley was filled, much like a bowl, with the golden rays of the sun.
The pride was just waking up. Ashiki was one of the first, opening her grey-blue eyes. Her wheat-colored pelt's colors were dimmed in the dark cave the pride slept in every night. She opened her mouth wide in a deep yawn and stretched out her front legs, extending her claws. She pulled herself up, stretching out her back and rear legs. Her tail flicked from side to side, as if it were stretching too.
After her little morning ritual, Askiki licked her lips and quickly left the cave. As the sunlight first hit her she gasped. It had been raining the past few days, so the sun had not been seen in a while. And now it was bright and beautiful. She smiled and made her way to the river that ran so close to their cave. She longed to jump in, but she knew all to well that the seemingly tranquil water was much faster under the surface and would drag her to the waterfall and her death.
Instead, she perched herself on a sun-baked rock next to the side of the river than ran within feet of the cave entrance. And there she sat, waiting for the rest of the pride.
