(Private) NM and Zeke's RP!

Taro heard something behind him. There's DEFINITELY something there. He thought to himself as he turned around to look behind him. There was no doubt in his mind, there WAS something there. When the lion made a complete turn around, there was a fast moving object in his peripheral vision, to his right, towards where Mila was standing. Before he could make a move, Mila screamed, and was toppled by something.

Mila was watching her mate move inside the caves, and it was almost to the point where she could not see him any longer, when she felt a massive amount of weight fly through her vision and cling onto her head, pulling her to the ground. She let out a muffled scream that was loud enough to be heard by anyone within a mile, and fell to the ground.

[Zeke]

Zeke stopped in fear of someone else being in the cave with him, but the dead silence was broken by the scream of his mate at the entrance to the cave. Enraged at the thought of someone hurting Mila, he let our a loud roar and turned to go back. I shouldn't have left her alone with him! He thought as he dug his back claws into the dirt and launched himself forward into a full-on sprint, heading for the entrance. He was still quite far from the front of the cave and feared he would not make it in time.

Taro had turned around to find a humongous lion on Mila. Immediately, he jumped on the lion in an attempt to stop him from hurting her. He clawed viciously at the attacker, and managed to get him off of her, only to have his main focus on him.

When Mila hit the ground, she immediately felt pain. The unknown attacker had cut her up nicely before Taro came in to stop him. When Taro got him off of her, she watched as he tackled the other lion to the ground. Before they even had time to claw one another, she ran as fast as she could towards Zeke. The sudden event had horrified her and she needed to get Zeke's help.

[Zeke]

Zeke weaved with precision through the system of tunnels. He took each corner very sharp and could hardly see where he was going but kept toward the entrance. On the straightaway to the front of the cave, Zeke saw a figure approaching rapidly and skid to a stop. Upon seeing that it was Mila, he called out, "Mila, what happened? Are you hurt?"

Mila skidded to a stop and ignored Zeke's question. "Come on!" She yelled, in a desperate attempt to help Taro fight off whatever was there. She motioned for Zeke to come, and ran back the way she had come from.

Taro didn't realize that Mila had run inside the cave, so when he noticed that she wasn't there, he believed that she ditched him. In rage, he attacked the lion with such strength, that he managed to injure it badly, quickly. He had no idea that he had that amount of strength. Suddenly, the lion got off of Taro and ran away into the trees where it had come from. Taro had no idea what made the lion run, but upon seeing it disappear, he had no concern for it anymore. He looked around the entrance of the cave for a sign of life. After a few moments of desperate searching, he saw Mila and Zeke emerge from the cave opening. His first concern was Mila's condition. "Mila, are you alright?" He asked desperately.

Mila nodded, and replied truthfully. "I have some bad cuts, but nothing major. I see you are the same way." She said, examining his body for any injuries, as she knew now that ones injuries doesn't hit them fully until the adrenaline wears off.

[Zeke]

Zeke padded up to Taro and looked over his bloodied up body. "You alright Taro?" He asked. Zeke took a second to think and came up with a possible cause for the attack. "Wait, Taro, were you being followed here?"

Taro looked at Zeke. "Yeah. Whatever it was gave up and ran away before any real damage could be done." He was glad that everyone was okay.

Mila looked at Zeke, then when Taro responded, back to him. "Thank you, Taro. I owe you my life." She said, and gave him a friendly smile. She knew that he had saved her and was grateful.

[Zeke]

Zeke heard Mila's words and looked gratefully over at Taro. "Yes, thank you for saving Mila. And its good to see that you are still in good condition." Zeke paused and thought a little bit. The thought that came to mind brought Zeke to a horrifying realization. "Did you see who it was Taro? Was he from your old pride?" Zeke asked frantically, praying that it wasn't.

Taro tried to remember what just occurred. "No. I don't know if he was from my old pride. I don't think he was, anyway." He replied to Zeke's question.

[Zeke]

"Well that's good, then no one has to die," Zeke said in a very casual tone and looked off into the distance to see if he could spot the attacker. "Anyway, the main cave is clear but I found something you might want to check out. I didn't see anything but there's something dead in there, I could smell it. You two should probably come along instead of being sitting ducks out in the open." Zeke turned to go back into the cave and looked back to see if Taro and Mila were following.
