Stephen Colbert loves TLK

I'm a big fan of his show, and through careful observation I've decided that Colbert is hiding a massive Lion King Love that he never grew out of ^.^ He's used the "Circle of Life" more often than about any other show I've seen, and even sung it I think at least two times.

On his may 13th episode he leads the audiance in a lively singing on the finale of "Just can't wait to be King"

He devotes an entire page of his book (I am America) to TLKOB

You be the judge ^.^ But I'm thinking that me and my favorite sarcastic pundit have something in common =D

This has to be true!! I'm happy to know that there are famous people out there that love TLK as much as we do! Just goes to show how this movie appeals to just about anyone. ^^

UPDATE: On the July 27th episode he asks a famous theatre stage actor "Who were you in "Lion King", then went on to suggest that he would have made "an excellent Pumbaa" when Kevin Kline explained that he'd never been a part of the production =3

I caught that one as well. If Stephen's a closet TLK fanboy, then that just makes me love him even more. :3

I'm going to have to go to ColbertNation and look for him singing IJCWTBK, that sounds awesome. =D
