Captive's Struggle [PRIVATE: AC & SinChei]

As Kulinda got to her feet, Tanga listened to her questions. "I'll explain everything in just a moment, for now let's get you away from the little one before he gets really angry."

Leading Kulinda away from the gates, back into the enclosure proper, Tanga noticed that the new lioness constantly kept several paces away from him, obviously afraid he was going to attack her. He sighed, but refrained from saying anything, knowing it would not do them any good...the best way to help her settle in was to let her do so at her own pace.

But as he lead her away from Daxis, he spotted Makali walking away from him, and bounded ahead of Kulinda, who hesitated at the sight of another lion, this one with very strange colouring. "Hey, Makali!" Tanga called, "You hear the young one too, do you?"

Tyson smiled, keeping his gaze on the lions as two of them walked off, the cub continued to growl and hiss at them. "I have no idea where the other one is...must be somewhere further in." He then chuckled slightly. "Probably avoiding the little one and his temper."

As Shane asked about sedatives to stop the cub if he became violent, Tyson simply responded by reaching behind his seat and pulling out a small tranquiliser rifle, with a dart already inserted into it. "If he get's too nasty, we'll have to use this to calm him down," he explained, before placing the gun on the dashboard, within easy reach, as he turned back to the cub, continuing to watch.

Makali turned his white maned head around to Tanga and the new lioness. He twitched with his right ear and observed the new one and walked slowly towards them while answering Tanga's question.

Good god yes i do He sighed and shook his head I've never seen something more annoying then him he never talks but when the weird creatures showing their faces he is the most annoying cub i know. But anyways who are you?

He sniffed at the air around her walked closer towards her.

Shane nodded pleased and had already forgotten Tysons riffle.

I would avoid that one too ... i mean who would not. Good the other ones are not like he is.
His eyes wandered to Daxis again and he leaned back on the cowling of shanes pickup.

Daxis did not even think of stopping growling and hissing. He stuck one of his paws through the iron bars and hit the air with his already extended claws. he was already panting because of the heat and his angry movements. The red maned cub havent eaten in days and doesn't want to just to protest.

Kulinda shied away from this new lion's greetings, backing away, still scared of her new, unfamiliar surroundings. The unique, completely outlandish appearance of this new lion, with his black fur, golden underbelly, and white mane was like nothing Kulinda had ever seen before. She kept her distance from both lions, her ears flat against her head in fear as her gaze flicked rapidly between the two of them, watching for any sign that they were going to hurt her in any way.

Tanga noticed the new lioness' skittish response to Makali's advances, and put a paw in front of his friend to stop him trying to get closer. "Easy, Makali...just give her some space. She only just arrived...I think she sees us as dangerous."

He sat down on the ground, his gaze on the lioness as she watched them fearfully, trying to keep his voice reassuring and warm. "It's okay...we are not going to hurt you...we want to help you."

Tyson sighed as the cub continued to growl and gesture threateningly at them, fingering his rifle in the process. If the cub did not calm down soon, he would be forced to put him in an induced sleep to stop the cub exhausting himself.

Still trying to get closer the new lioness and observing her with his shining eyes Tanga stopped him with one of his big pranks. He looked at him and nodded while turning his head back to the new lioness and speaking in a calm manner.

Yeah we wont hurt you. Don't be affraid of me maybe i look a bit strange but i would never do something to you. And Tanga would too. ... Can i ask you for your name?

He sat down slowly still watching her.

Shane nodded and just tryed to stay calm to not threatning the cub. Watching sad how he exhauisting and hurting himself.

Daxis put all of his forpaws back on the ground and breathed hard with bared teeth. He was grunting a bit and jumped towards the gate to get in his old postion with both forpaws dangling through two iron bars trying to get shane or tyson with his tiny claws even if they were inches away.

Kulinda looked from one lion to the other, her jumpy, defensive nature fading slightly as the two of them spoke to her in soft, calm voices. They did not seem to be threatening her in any way, and she decided to test the waters...just a little.

"Ku...Kulinda," she finally said hesitantly. "My name is Kulinda."

Tanga smiled as Kulinda finally gave up her name. Hopefully she would open up a little more soon. "Hello, Kulinda...my name is Tanga," he said simply, letting the lioness dictate the pace at which the conversation went. He figured that asking too many questions or saying too much to her at once would probably just scare her off again.

Makali smiled more then happy about her decission telling them her name and giggled silently and did not hold back like Tanga did and made one step towards her again and replying happily.

Ahhh Kulinda nice name. I am Makali like Tanga told you i bet. Aaaaaand from where are you if i am allowed to ask you that?

His tail were flicking around he was visibly happy about a new face behinf this walls.

Daxis later noticed the two creatured would not come back to him so that he could hurt them.
He went a few steps bacl from the gate and jumped against it trying to open it in any way. He knew the bars were hard but soon his chest hurt and he had to make a few seconds rest before tackling the gate again.

Shane again looked to his friend and wrote something down again. He prepared notes for every lion in their station and Daxis documents were full of negative things.

Hey Tyson you think he could be sick? i mean look at his right paw... he doesn't care that one of his claw is half way out...

Tyson sighed as he watched the cub attacking the gate once more, obviously beginning to hurt himself. He hated doing this, but the cub had left him little choice as he grabbed the tranquiliser rifle, looking over at Shane. "He might be sick...you think we should bring him in for a check-up?"

But even as he asked the question, he raised the rifle at Daxis, taking careful aim to make sure that he did not accidentaly hit him with the dart somewhere where it would cause permanent damage. "Sorry, little guy...but I have no choice." With those apologetic, he fired, the small tranquiliser dart striking the cub in the leg, where it would put him to sleep soon enough.

Knowing he had to wait until the sedative took effect before he could enter the enclosure again, Tyson turned back to Shane. "Maybe we should just put him back in the enclosure, but keep a closer watch on him...if he shows any signs his condition isn't good, we can bring him in for a check-up."

Kulinda took another step backwards as the oddly-coloured lion stepped forward, both lions introducing themselves. Makali's fowardness was startling her slightly, but his happy nature disarmed her a little...he was obviously pleased to see her, for some reason, and she could not figure out why.

Continuing to keep her distance, she decided to keep talking, in the hopes it would appease these two lions for now, and give her a better chance of figuring out their intentions. "Where am I?" she asked simply. "What happened to me?"

Tanga just sat back and observed through all this. He thought Makali was being a little too forward in his greetings, and was running the risk of scaring Kulinda off...but he knew that was just how Makali worked, and so let it go, sitting a ways back and watching the two of them, ready to step in if he felt he needed to contribute something.

Shane shook his head disappointed as he heard the words of Tyson knowing he would put him to sleep in a few seconds. But it was better for Daxis, he already ripped a claw half way ou of his paw what looked very painfull.

Maybe we should.... He tried to say before tyson aimed at Daxis and shot the dart in his leg. Before Shane could continue Tyson said exactly what was in shanes mind.

Yeah that would be the very best... the only thing is his claw... I hope he can manage this on his own if not they will fix it in the check up again making some notes of Daxis how fast the sedative took effect at that little guy.

Daxis tackled the gate so hard he could and noticed his paw hurt badly with the broken claw. But he ould not give up until something would stop him. But it did not took much time until he felt something stuck in his paw. He pulled it off as fast as he could and continued his attacks but was getting weaker and weaker every movement.

What!... WHAT IS THAT!.... ugh...

His eyes closed slowly and his body was swinging around until he fell on his side.

Makali tried to stay closer and smiled th whole time trying to calm her down while answering in a soft tone with his strong voice.

Well we don't know exactly what this here is but... we all were hurt or close to die on starvation. So... what happened to you why are you here? you have to know that..

everything on that lioness awoke his interest and he tried again to walk closer to her even if she tried to keep the distance. He know she could not run far away if she wanted to.

Kulinda once again backed off as Makali took a few more steps closer to her, starting to scare her with his constant attempts to approach her. "I-I don't know," she said. "I just wandering around one day with my brother, and then something stuck into my side and..."

Kulinda's eyes widened as she looked around, realising that her brother was nowhere in sight. "Oh, Great Kings! Mwamba!" she called, looking around wildly. "Mwamba, where are you?!"

It was at this point she noticed the fence nearby. Gasping as she realised the possibility that she had been seperated from her brother, Kulinda forgot about the two lions as she bolted for the fence, pushing against it. "No! No, no no no no!" But her brain could not deny the truth, as she realised he was hopelessly trapped, knowing her brother was somewhere out there, beyond the fence she could not break through. "No...MWAMBA!" she screamed, praying for something, anything to free her, but knowing she would get nothing. "Mwamba! Someone...please, let me out!"

But even as she yelled, despair kicked in with a force that drove all the fight out of her, as she slowly stopped pushing against the fence, tears leaking from her eyes. "No...please..." giving in to her despair, she lay down right beside the fence, curling up into a tight ball as she started sobbing, occasionally calling out her brother's name softly, realising that she was never, ever going to see him again.

As Kulinda ran off, Tanga's sympathy for the lioness reach new heights. She had been brought into this enclosure against her will, and had been seperated from her brother, whom she obviously loved, in the process.

Watching as she struggled against the fence surrounding their enclosure for a few moments, Tanga felt his heart crying out to her as she felt curled up and started sobbing. "Poor girl," he sighed, looking at Makali. "She's devastated...is there anything you think we can do to help her?"

Tyson sighed as he watched Daxis slowly give in to the sedative's effects, putting the rifle back in the back of the pickup's cabin before exiting the vehicle, looking down at the unconscious cub. "I'll tell you what...we'll give the little guy a day to fic the claw on his own. If it's still there tomorrow, we'll bring him in and get him looked at, okay?"

He then turned back to the cub, sighing once again as he pulled his walkie-talkie out. "You want to carry the little guy back into the enclosure, or should I?"

Makaliwas still smiling and asked himself for what she was looking until she scared him with her shouting. He really was feeling with her and was instantly sad. He attached his ears when she had seen the wall and yelled out her brothers name in despair. Makali looked over to his friend and replied sadly.

I .... i thought this creatured just bring us here because ... we were sick ... and alone... but that is just wrong, horrible... i know how it is to lose family and thats unfair... The only thing we could do is helpin her getting out... but how.. its impossible

He startd walking to the place Kulinda was lying down.

Shane shook his head and stood up with a deep sigh.

Ahhh... nono i will do this... and yeah if he can't manage this on his own we could watch him for a few days in the small inside enclosure up in the check up.

The human went to the gate crouching down to caress the small sleeping lion slightely waiting for the outer gate to open. His hand slided through his headfur down Daxis' back.

Why are you so stubborn and agressive...
