Maybe he got fat on some kind of lion brand ice cream, because he was in a deep depression when Zira killed Kopa.
lol Idk, but how can Disney claim it being the same presentation when they made the books with Kopa in it (Kopa was supposed to be the cub being held up at the end of the first one)? that would mean they messed up on explaining things to the fans 'hint hint' and not getting their storys in check.
I think they just did it for 2 things, personaly, for money and because they wanted to do the Romeo and Juliet story. (Although they could have done that with Vitani and Kopa.)
