Mufalfa laughed and said, "Nope you cannot help me one bit actually. There is only one who can help me." He laughed again and wondered off.

He saw Tanga over there though he was uncertain if he had suceeded in converting him.

"Soon Tanga you will help me. Very soon my fool."

He looked at Kioja and Kamau. "And as for you, I will make sure you will leave immediately. You will not find this pride so comforting soon my fools." He laughed again knowing that he would be enjoying their departure especially Kioja's.

"Well I better see if Tanga needs some more pressure on him." He laughed and walked toward him. "Oh hey Tanga do you want to see Imani and Auni, they are starting to kiss eachother now. Looks like you got the short end of the stick."

Tanga snorted irritably as Mufalfa came back for more taunts. He had seen the lion's movements and knew that he had not approached where Imani had disappeared off to, so knew he was just baiting him. "Spying on them now, are we?" he retorted back sharply, in no mood for Mufalfa's games. "If what they're doing is so interesting to you, then why do you keep coming back here?"

Tanga was normally not one for cold outbursts, but he was having a trying day, and Mufalfa was really starting to grate on his nerves. Some deep, dark part of him wanted to lash out and strike Mufalfa, but he held it in check...he did not want to start a fight, especially one that he knew he could not win.

Mufalfa smiled and said, "Indeed I am spying on them my fool." He laughed and said, "I find it interesting for you seem not to care that Imani is in someone else's arms not yours." Mufalfa laughed and noticed he was getting angry. "Now Tanga there is no reason to get angry here. I am trying to help you out my friend. Come on now you know that brother gets on your nerves." He laughed as he kept trying to get Tanga to help him.

"It is the brother's fault that Imani is not with you. It is his fault that you are made to look like a complete imbecile to everyone around you. I will let you take him on in exchange for me taking Kioja on of course." He smiled and said, "That brother wants to make you a fool to Imani so he can find a lion who he wants to be his sister's mate. Come on Tanga be strong and take him on!"

Auni gave Imani another sympathetic look. Then started at something she had said. "Wait. You're mates now?" He hadn't been told of this new development in their relationship. "Congratulations!" He then shook his head to focus on her concerns.

"Well... I'm sure he didn't mean to pry. \he loves you and only wants to look out for you and comfort you. And that includes when your older brother comes bursting back into your life and is clearly bothering you. I don't think you should be angry at him. As he doesn't actually know what went on between you you can't expect him to know you don't want to talk about it. Look" He sat down beside her.

"I know this is probably very stressful and distressing for you, but Tanga is probably very confused and absolutly kicking himself for asking you about it! He really loves you, okay? And I think you should go talk to him. Not about Kamou!" He said hastily, backing away slightly as she flared up. "But go apologise. He didn't realise you were so defensive about this." He watched her, wondering if she would take his advice, hoping she would.

Imani looked at the slightly frightened Auni as he backed away from her when she made the slightest of movements. How scary can I really be? She asked herself. But Auni was right...she knew Tanga didn't meant to pry and he was only looking out for her, but she couldn't help but be upset over the whole thing. She knew Tanga sought nothing but to be the best mate for her he could be, but she would have appreciated it if he had just left well enough alone. She turned her head away from Auni and looked to her paws. She was slightly distracted by the dirt in between her toes, but it faded away as she thought more about what he said. Eventually, the lioness's head came to a bobbing motion and she smiled lightly, looking back up at him. "Thanks Auni, you're a good friend" she told him, getting up to her paws. "But for now, I just need to cool down a little, as I'm sure he does as well".

When her mind wandered away, she perked her head and grinned over at Auni with a devilish look in her eyes. "So...," she moved closer to him, "I saw you checking Kioja out" she giggled, lightly prancing away from him so she could get a full view of his face. Unsure of what his reaction would be, she stood perfectly still to see how his face would turn when she knew she was correct about him possibly liking her.

Kioja and Kamau stayed silent, watching Mulfalfa walk off. "Is he that idiot you were with before you joined my pride?" Kamau asked.

"You bet'cha" she replied. Kioja was never Mulfalfa's mate, but she stuck close with him at one point in her life when she was younger and they traveled together. When she had met Kamau and his mate, Qwara, she decided to go with them instead of the idiot that was Mulfalfa. And her life had been better ever since. She was of course, one of the most dangerous lionesses in all the lands, known all around Africa that you shouldn't mess with her, but she was never able to get to the point she was in now without being in Kamau's pride. Besides, she had a high position to hold and a good friend in the pride leaders.

"Why did you keep him around?"

"I was young; I didn't know how much I would want to rid him of my sights until now" she replied without much emotion in her voice. Kamau looked at her, but she shot him a warning glare. "Don't even think about it, Kamau".

"What's the problem with me killing him?"

"He's Imani's sister's mate, and this wouldn't be too good for the children Ra is going to be having soon". No one had told Kioja that Ra was pregnant yet, but she had a keen eye for things like this, and she knew how to put two things together to make them make sense. "Just, don't go there. Besides," she smirked evily at him, "I have other plans for the twit" she hissed under her breath. Kamau, taking in her words, followed her grin with his own and they looked to where they saw him walk off to.

"No wonder you're the co-leader" he cackled low in his voice.

Tanga shook his head. "It's not that I don't care, Mufalfa, it's that I know you're trying to torment me...I've seen you, you haven't even approached Imani since we fought, so how can you possibly know what she's up to?"

But Tanga temper flared once again as Mufalfa tried to convince to join soem malicious scheme once again. "Listen!" he snapped. "It does not matter what Kamau did or did not do to me...I will not join you in whatever stupid scheme you've come up with! I do not bring lions down just because they've said a few harsh words to me! In case you've forgotten, I actually forgave you after you killed my parents...and my unborn sister, when I had every right to kill you, in your own words! I have not done anything to you, and Kamau has done far less to my life than you have...besides, it's not like I'm the kind of lion that can take someone on directly."

Tanga turned his head back to the bones of his parents, settling his head on his paws as he took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. "If that is all you want from me, then I suggest you leave me to my thoughts...I've had a bad day and just want to be alone for a bit."

Mufalfa laughed and told Tanga, "I see. So you refuse? You will regret that." He looked at Tanga and said, "And actually I did see Auni with Imani you fool."

He smiled and left but then came up to Kamau. "That Tanga wishes to fight you. Do you accept his challenge to kill you?" He looked at the male and said, "Tanga will fight you in a few minutes and he said that he only wants one of you left alive. If you don't believe a word I said ask him. Ask him why he wishes to fight you and he will say that you made a fool out of him."

He went towards Kamau and said, "Come on let's ask your challenger if he wants to fight you." Mufalfa started laughing at his plan.

Kamau looked down at Mulfalfa and really gave no expression. Though he didn't know the lion personally, he judged him through the stories and memory of his co-leader and scoffed. "Let's go, Kioja" he said, walking past the younger lion and waiting for his co-leader to follow. While Kioja walked with her friend and leader, she pushed Mulfalfa with her shoulder in his so he would get out of her way. She sent him a glare before walking off with Kamau.

What is he up to, Kioja asked herself.

Auni blushed under his creamy fur and stared at his paws, embarrest. So he had been that obvious... Oh dear! He hoped that Kioja hadn't noticed, at least not too much. He wasn't really sure how he was supposed to act around females, Ra and Imani being the only ones his age he had met since being kicked out of his pride. Then again, Imani picked up on the littlest things, so maybe it hadn't been quite tthat obvious.

He shot her a look of playful annoiance as she was still skipping round him. " No! Well, maybe..." He muttered, glancing upwards to see a look of triumph on Imani's face. "What's it to you?" he looked at his tail to avoid looking at her smug expression.

"Ahah!" She giggled, bouncing up and down at the answer she knew she was about to get. "That's adorable, Auni!" She smiled and completely forgot about her own troubles. "You should talk to her".

Imani then thought about what she said. Him? Talk to Kioja? ...how? She asked.
